So I watched a replay of the Pats v Giants November game last night ... have to say, I was a bit encouraged, notably on the defensive side.

Prominent roles on the Pats D that day ...

Phillip Adams (who was scorched all game, and ended the season on the Seahawks)

Tracy White (all I kept thinking was who the fuck is number 58 and why is he making Jake Ballard look like Ozzie Newsome???)

    Josh Barrett

Sergio Brown (who made the crucial pass interference play on the Giants last drive)

... I didn't even know who these guys were after the game, let alone before it.

This is the game both Patrick Chung and Brandon Spikes both got hurt and missed the rest of the regular season, both are now back. Not all pros, but it beats the riff raff listed above.

Anyway ... 2007 Pats won in the regular season on the road, Gaints won the superbowl ...

Let's hope that trend is compeltely reversed this year.
And you forgot Albert Haynseworth(less) escorting Brandon jacobs into the end zone on what would be his last play ina Pats' uniform...Pats are 10-0 since his departure, Bucs were winless after his arrival there.
    This weekend we rock Portland

ESPN clearly wants the Giants to win this. I can't wait for Belichick to piss on everyone's parade Sunday.

edit: I just cannot understand why ANYONE would bet against Brady/Belichick.

Not betting against Brady/Belichick. I'm betting against the Pats secondary trying to stop the Giants WRs. The Pats have a WR that comes in to play nickel back!

If the Patriots, no when the Patriots take the title ( I have to stay positive) does Hainesworth get a ring?

My sweet friends and family," the e-mail began. "This sunday will be a really important day in my husband's life. He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this super bowl . . .

"So I kindly ask all of you to join me on this positive chain and pray for him, so he can feel confident, healthy and strong. Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this sunday.

"Thank you for your love and support. Love, G :)

There would be a lot more laughing faces if she weren't a supermodel.

Edit: And yes, this is what the week before the super bowl has come to.
  • Just caught this on the Post. Hilarious.

Edelman does a damn good job as a DB considering he's listed as a WR on the roster. Did you see him sack Vince Young earlier in the season or knock the ball out of Boldin's hands in the AFC Championship? Kid is all over the place of defense. he definately doesn't hurt the secondary when he is on the field.

Geez, it's finally Sunday. It took forever and listening to all the pre-game hype seemed to make it last even longer. Here's hoping the Pats come prepared for a war tonight cause the Giants are going to be tough.

Just saw a piece on Myra Kraft from the NFL Network this morning ... holy emotional morning. It got dusty in here, that's for sure.

To see how much she meant to big Vince Wilfork, to the rest of the team ... and notably, Kraft himself .... to see the team get a portrait painted for Bob Kraft ... man ... the "higher power" factor looms big for the Pats today.

Amazing how a 3 point favorite can have such a feeling of an underdog. I am a bit more confident about the Pats chances in the "no one beleives in them" atmosphere the pundits, the Giants themselves have painted.

    LET'S GO PATS!!!
