That was the basis of this idea... so, with the First Pick, we would all have to really sit and think about what we want. We'd have a chance and the small markets like Albuqurque and Council Bluffs would more than likely have locals in the front, not those of us out-of-towners with lower numbers.
We can still go to Albuquerque and Council Bluffs during the full pre-sale... and if we get shutout there... there's always the Public On-Sale.
My perception is... we should revert to the happiness of 'just being in the house', like we used to be. Forget all of this having to be in the front at every show deal we have seemed to fallen into. Pearl Jam should be all about sharing with our kindred spirits... not about 'I, Me and Mine'.
But, that's just me.

This system is great for the small solo shows/club PJ shows, but shouldn't be needed for arena/stadium shows.

i'm sorry but i'd rather go to a lottery instead of wasting my day infront of a screen hitting refresh or seeing whiny thread after thread bout how come i didn't get tix and yada yada yada. tour time should be a time of joy, not let's spew hate at a fellow human being all cause he runs a fanclub for a band. it's sicking what goes on around here during tour time and makes me really question just how much off the deep end fellow fans are . i'm sure as fuck not the only that feels this way.

I should have also added that the presale for the big shows should be handled via Ticketmaster, and not through this site.

10c can have our membership numbers as our passwords for their area of ticketmaster. that way the minute we log on to the 10c ticketmaster area 10c knows whose using the membership.

how great the system work..you can see it in porch forum...1st page...rollcall thread,who is goingto which show,infos about venue and city..spare tix..etc

Alot of people seem to be thinking seniority will be taken away for a PJ tour. Wrong. Like Matt says there is never seniority for Ed shows and Tim has already confirmed that there is no change for tickets for a PJ tour but they may use this new way to sell tickets.

If the lottery is indeed fair, why doesn't someone ask them what computer program they use to RANDOMLY generate names? If they don't use one, they are pretty much selecting them manually(or by hand, which is NOT fair and NOT random)

Ok, I really see your point now with the time zones, internet speeds, etc. I didn't really think of that but I guess it does put some at a disadvantage. However, they can just do the presales in local time(wherever the show is going to be held) but the internet speed thing is a money issue(maybe location causes this?). Everyone does have a fair chance to buy a better computer and connection, no? Or is it no possible to buy high speed internet in other countries?

for me will be very very frustating and that thing about that it doesnt matter wheres your seat, cause youre in, will not satisfied me.

pj played at Greece once in 21 years..i didnt get 10c tix...i didnt get in the venue with early entrance like the ones had 10c tix..once and last as it seems,at 21 years...

I think it's clearly an inferior system. Let those who want it the most, and are willing to put in the effort, get the tickets. The current system does work the same for all. Some have found ways to better their chances. Is it fair that someone has a faster car than you? Or that someone has a bigger TV? Everyone has equal opporunity to earn the things they desire. If someone has something you want (like a better internet connection), that should drive you to work hard and obtain it for yourself! A lottery would never lead to someone trying to better their situation.
