The album is good IMO, but happens to be my least favorite. This doesn't mean it's bad to me....just falls last on my list of albums.

I guess if I had to pick one it would be got some. Although the drumming in gonna see my friend is top notch.
Backspacer didn't really age well for me. Its too poppy IMO, you can tell they were trying too hard with alot of the songs. The only songs I really like are the hard rocking ones. As amazing as unthought known is when I hear it, theres something about it that I dont like when Im not listening to it. It doesnt really make sense I know. Oh and Just breathe and the end are terrible songs. they're like sappy sentimental songs with a giant squirt of nacho cheese all over them. Way too forced and cheesy. Give me Avocado any day. (or any of their albums)
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
I was in the "Backspacer sucks" camp for a long time, too. It took me like a year and a half to get into it. Now I consider it my favorite PJ album since Yield.
Maybe I'll get into Binaural in another decade or so.
Backspacer sucks....Got Some would be my favourite....but I could happily never hear any of them live again.
Edit: Unthought Known would be my second favourite....I used to like Force of Nature too but it's just boring now. The whole album is boring to me now actually.
Sucks huh?! But you happen to muster up a favorite...and then even a second favorite through all that "suckiness." Admit it, it's good!

No, it's not good. It has a couple of songs I like. None that I love. Least fav out of all the albums.

That's valid. My collection is littered with albums I bought because I heard and liked one or two songs and then, to my disappointment, the rest of the album was virtually unlistenable. I'm sure you and I are not alone here.
Or, as in your case, I bought an album by a band I'm a fan of and found it an overall disappointment with a couple high points.
Maybe I'll get into Binaural in another decade or so.
Last week this was my go to album...I always did like it but fell in love completely...such an under-rated album IMO
Unthought Known brought me thru an incredibly difficult time...love this song & album...
This band can create any type of mood with their music, its awesome & I think Backspacer came from a really happy place for all of them....we got fantastic music thru the years from angst, frustration, anger, horror & its nice to see them happy...I'll take Backspacer for what it is...a gift

Got Some would be a close 2nd.
Second place is a tie between Amongst The Waves and Just Breathe.

I skip Johnny Guitar everytime it comes on. Least favorite PJ song since maybe Heyfoxymophandlemama
even though i don't like competitions when "judging" art
Totally agree
Yeah, I don't think I would have answered this question if it had been about the "best" song on the album. There's no such thing.

My fav too! I wish they would play it at shows...great tune!
