I was a paying member and tried to log on 15 mins ago to upload some holiday pics for friends...no explanation of what happened, no notice given, nothing...seems to be widespread. Looks to me like "US officials" are trying to gain a monopoly on internet content. If this continues it could mean a major assault on freedom of speech and information on the net but I suppose this was always a possibility. Reminds me of public broadcasting (tv and radio) selling out to advertising and becoming something else. Other thoughts?0

could this go into court with customers suing ? if you guys paid for a service that was running illegal stuff
with out knowing,is that grounds to sue ? I'm not the sue happy type but this could piss off a lot of paying customers....or was it free ?

megaupload doesn't upload it's own content for public consumption. It's basically a bigass ftp site. And there are already a LOT of sites like it operating. This grandstanding, making an example, is a joke.0 -

Should government be allowed to confiscate your legally obtained property, when you haven't broken any laws, because of a crime completely unrelated to you?0
