    i've watched less than 30 seconds of these meaningless bowls. that couldn't be easier for me.

    i like my local csn philly and the internet for my sports fix.

    i do watch espn news though because that's kind of what the regular espn used to be--just highlights and shit.

    It's not even that easy. They cranked up the Tebow highlight reel DURING the Seattle game, between plays. Gruden spent the better part of the second half opining about Tebow as if there wasn't an unrelated game going on.

    I like the ESPN coverage of the English Premiere League soccer better than the Fox Soccer Channel. Too bad Fox has the majority of the games.

    I know I shouldn't care about the bowls, and I should boycotts the more meaningless ones as 81 said, but even when I plan to, as soon as I hear "Bowl" I'm like a moth to flame. It could be a bowl game between Southwestern Missouri School For The Blind and The Idaho Culinary Institute and I'd watch.

    That brings up another thing that cracked me up about ESPN and something they do often. It happened with the Eagles "Dream Team" thing, then again with the LSU/Alabama "Game Of The Century". They fully take place in all of this hyping, and labeling things like those two examples as being great (or in the case of the Eagles taking something the backup QB said and running with it) then when it doesn't live up to the hype they ridicule the hype, and distance themselves from it as if they hadn't taken part all along. The day after the LSU/Alabama game they were all like "Some game of the century that turned out to be..." as if they hadn't been the main ones hyping it to be.

    It was great from a defensive standpoint, but it wasn't what anybody, ESPN included, expected. A "Game Of The Century" would have at least one touchdown I would think, and not as many missed field goals.
