Might sound absurd... But I keep reading people are/were calling Crowdsurge, has anyone tried calling the 10C?

I am not sure if they rolled the thread about the PJ song that best defines this situation in to this one or not, but it just hit me- the song that sums it all up is Off He Goes- "Nothing's changed, but the surrounding Bull$hit"

Good news for us folks in the south is- maybe once they finally come back here, they may have all this figured out. Hopefully

I was looking through some old Deep magazines, remember when we used to get those and had to send them in to get our tickets??? Could you imagine if we had to wait for those again? We would not get them till the following year, or so...

Just remember this too, the very first thing we get with our membership is-
Our promise to do our darndest to get you the BEST tickets in the house to Pearl Jam shows around the world and early entry to general admission performances

I'm getting bored now, tickets are available for Manchester on Viagogo for 190 quid a pair for standing, getting very tempted. Without this 10C sale I can't afford standing tickets unless I'm very lucky elsewhere.
Just a thought..... Could 10C be hanging on to an announcement until our American comrades are home from work so they get first dibs while we're all sleeping because we've pissed em off complaining too much because we've all been sat infront of computers all day while they've all been soundly asleep?

Im gonna tell you something really sad. My dad asked me about if I was going to the PJ show in Stockholm, which I obviously am. He asked me if he should get tickets. He works for one of Swedens biggest banks, and they always get to buy tickets before they go on public sale. Of course I told him I would get my own tickets the through the fan club as I always do.

Ive been a 10C member for 10 years, usually fly all over to see my favorite band, I buy every single new cool thing that 10C releases such as 200$ books and limited edition boxes. Now I dont have tickets to see my favorite band in my home town, this band that is the most important thing in my life besides family and friends, hell I even consider PJ family/friends...and at the same time I know that tickets are already sold to companys with "special deals" to people who dont really care.

So sad...and so much against what PJ stands for

  • just got of the phone with crowdsurge (third time today). I must say they're very friendly.

as of now they're waiting for the ten club to respond. Big issue is ten club is based in the states and crowdsurge is in Europe, so they have been unable to do anything but wait today.

The number of tickets assigned to them is in the thousands, Tenclub gave them the numbers in according to their experiences in the past.

The guy said he hopes TenClub is aware of the situation that in Europe it's evening and that general sale for example Berlin is starting tomorrow.

He couldn't say anything on the cause of the difficulties yesterday.

So we have to stay tuned, and wait for the TenClub.

@TenClub: this reeks of power abuse, as you might know by now we were left in the dark for 26 hours and counting. There are people who didn't get any sleep. In Scotland there's a guy who has to drive for an hour to get wi-fi access (forgot your name, but you deserve a statue), and all Europeans are waiting and refreshing, watching time go by, worrying on wether not to buy tickets in the general sale TOMORROW MORNING, worrying on staying awake or go to bed.

No power and so much to do, we still remember, don't you?

I forgot to mention this: the guy from crowdsurge said we will be notified before the sale, they won't just re-open the sale at sudden moment before notifying tenclubmembers. So keep checking your e-mails as well (if you weren't doing this already, like me, every minute ;-))

  • The lack of communication from the Ten Club is simply astounding. The very least they could do is say something along the lines of: "we hope to get this fixed by [insert time and day].

I do appreciate the service that the Ten Club normally provides, and i'm a proud member of this club. But I can only speak for myself when I say that I would really like for them to give us a clue about what it going on, and some idea of how long it will take to get this fixed, or get an email about the new pre-sale, or just some kind of comforting message so that we can get on with our lives.

I'm postponing everything that I should've done today, and i'm a right mess. Please, just a few words from the Ten Club about this whole situation here, and it would be so much better.

  • Yesterday's crash is not 10C's fault, even if they have made a balls of previous 10C presales. But any grace or defence that could be granted to 10C has long since gone. It is not just bad business practice, but bad form in general to not communicate with their customers.

Let's face it, the majority of us purchase the 10C membership just for the presale access. I let mine expire and just about renewed it in time for this current presale. I live in Ireland, where for most of us money is now quite scarce. Yet I will spend the last €20 in my pocket on a 10C membership. I will beg, steel, borrow, whatever it takes to get to at least some of next summer's gigs. I have dropped over €5k in the last 6 years alone on following this band from continent to continent, that's not including money spent on the band's albums and merch. My point is that I, like a few thousand others, are DEDICATED fans of this band.

Which brings me to yesterday's ticketing fiasco. Yes servers crash under severe pressure, yes this shit can happen very easily and send lots of people into a bout of frustration, but when this happens on an ongoing basis, what is the point in purchasing the membership? 10C did try to rectify and learn from previous disasters, in fairness, by outsourcing to Crowdsurge. First and foremost, a quick google on 'Crowdsurge review' will show you their track history. Secondly, and a lot of people won't give a shit about this, but is 'Crowdsurge' really something that Pearl Jam want to see associated with their name? All past things considered like.

I don't believe in launching a personal attack on 10C at this time. Thanks to them I have gained many memories and have had some great times. When we think of '10C' the establishment, most of us probably think of a 70-strong team of people working around the clock in a 2-story building. When in reality they are probably just a handful of people working in a small office. If this is the case, they have to be congratulated for the ongoing work they do, BUT this lack of communication is inexcusable, and for me unforgivable.

Many, many people were put out yesterday. Nevermind those who are throwing the toys out of the pram over not getting tickets, but alot of people would have planned their day/ altered their plans to be at a computer and ready to go with credit card details. This is what seems to be pissing people off the most, and that is why the 'no comment' stance that 10C have so far adhered to is really unexplainable. It is quite baffling that 24+ hours after the meltdown there has still been no official word from 10C. The fact that they have been patrolling the boards and administering slaps on the wrist to those who badmouth 10C too severely means that they can communicate, but obviously this goes way above their heads, and perhaps they themselves are still waiting on word to come down.

So here we are, just over 12 hours until tickets go on general sale. There will be no 10C presale before that happens I'm willing to bet. So do we purchase GA tickets in the hope of not missing out if/when the 10C tickets finally do go on sale? This is quite unbelievable at this stage.

TL:DR: TENCLUB, PLEASE ISSUE A STATEMENT, EVEN IF IT DOES NOT OFFER ANYTHING SPECIFIC, COMMUNICATION IS KEY.
  • I simply cannot believe this. Mistakes happen. Errors occur. That's ok. But not giving any kind of information about it is NOT! So please, give us just a little glimpse of hope. Tell us that you are there. That you are working on this. It's so much easier forgiving people who communicate and say they are sorry. Right now you use USSR-politics. Just pretend nothing happens. Or are you the ostrich with the head in the ground?

PLEASE. More than 350 posts in 6 hours. WE NEED NEWS!
