Just received this e-mail from Crowdsurge: We are waiting for an update so we will contact all customers as soon as we have confirmed information. Until we receive official notification from 10Club we are unable to confirm any further information regarding the pre-sale.
I know it's not much, but at least we know that the people at Crowdsurge haven't left work and that they (too) are waiting for TC to communicate.
i sure hope my mailaccount can recieve the email. Turned of any spam filters now. Grr

I don't know if there are any health and safety issues, but surely for european shows they could solve the problem overnight.
Euro shows are generally general admission.
Why not allow people to get tickets from wherever, add a free item to the store called early entry or something like that. At any point in the next few months purchase the item for shows attending, turn up to the 10club kiosk at the venue, voila early entry wristbands. Surely this would have no effect to the venue, security, band etc. as 10club ticket holders are already being let in early anyway?
Yeah why not skip the ticketsales and sell the "early entry" thing for free as you said. Does it matter for the venue how many get in 15 minutes before?
I'm sure everyone would even be happy to pay a minimal admin charge for it say $4 or $5, it might be too logical though

Getting in early wont do any good if all you got from general ticketsales was a seat...I might be wrong, but isn´t TC-presaletickets mostly "floor"-tickets?
Why is this forum running so slow.... was it a 10C server crash yesterday?
This is what I don't get, the forum should have been fine
people came to complain about the sale
and this forum couldn't handle it
pretty simple and obvious?
The forum showed about 200 or so people logged on, I believe...including guests. It can't handle that small amount of traffic?

I guess but it would hopefully make a few more 10club members happy that get lucky with floor tickets from other places. Maybe always allow members in early enough to watch sound-check
I had in my cart and paid for, 1 pair of Berlin tickets. But no email
I know I will never see them again cause prob no proof except on my phone I took a pic if u want to see it.
the only solution is to not have them on the same day do a different show each day seemingly would slow the masses down, but what do I know Im just a ten club member
just got of the phone with crowdsurge (third time today). I must say they're very friendly.
as of now they're waiting for the ten club to respond. Big issue is ten club is based in the states and crowdsurge is in Europe, so they have been unable to do anything but wait today.
The number of tickets assigned to them is in the thousands, Tenclub gave them the numbers in according to their experiences in the past.
The guy said he hopes TenClub is aware of the situation that in Europe it's evening and that general sale for example Berlin is starting tomorrow.
He couldn't say anything on the cause of the difficulties yesterday.
So we have to stay tuned, and wait for the TenClub.
@TenClub: this reeks of power abuse, as you might know by now we were left in the dark for 26 hours and counting. There are people who didn't get any sleep. In Scotland there's a guy who has to drive for an hour to get wi-fi access (forgot your name, but you deserve a statue), and all Europeans are waiting and refreshing, watching time go by, worrying on wether not to buy tickets in the general sale TOMORROW MORNING, worrying on staying awake or go to bed.

Me too, haha, in my desperation I took a screenshot of one of the confirmed ticketpairs...felt right at the time
I think you're right. The only logical thing to do is go to Ticketmaster with the remaining tickets and have a pre-pre-sale. Any other option will likely end in a similar disaster.
And if they are going to Ticketmaster, I am sure the irony is lost on no one.
Meh they used ticket master for the Canadian tour after the site crashed two days in a row. It wasn't that big a deal, and by all accounts it worked super smoothly. Sure not everyone who wanted got tickets, but I think you knew your fate within the hour. I live in Ottawa and Scotiabank place uses their own ticket service, which tenclub used. On top of it being super easy the 10club tickets I bought from their service ended up being cheaper than the tickets I had in my cart from 10club the previous day that they wouldn't let me buy.

Thanks so much for this - the call, the info and perfectly worded message to 10C.
It's 9.30 pm again and I'm about to cry, I'm that tired at this point.
I have a legitimate suggestion about how the 10C can do this.
Kat, Sea, Nic, Kelly and the Band have been doing this for 20 years.
They've seen the band grow, fall, rebirth. There isn't a lot about Pearl Jam's fans they don't know.
Over time they've built up relationships with repeat venues, repeat promoters and industry types. How about we use statistical analysis and the relationships they've made to make things easier and cheaper on everyone.
1) You have historical data that shows attendees for each show dating back to 1991. You have pre Riot Act and post Riot Act data. So you generally know (especially on these non album tours) the rough number for each venue. So you can aim to set aside those tickets.
2) Yoiu know generally who travels from where. For example if it is an Australian tour, you know not that many people will travel from outlying countries. You also know if it is a European tour you would get more international people going to these shows. You have all these records.
2) Your lead in times to the show announcement is something like this:
Day 1) Tweet: Get your membership up to date
Day 6) Surprise - TOUR!
Day 10) Tickets on sale for 10c members for 8 hours only.
3) Invariably due to this window, you get a large volume of traffic flowing into the site which causes the servers to have an "oh shit" moment. I mean you've even tried to outsource it this time and it's possibly even worse than Alpine Valley
4) Your track record is terrible. Absolutely terrible. From the inconsistency of us Australians getting 10C tickets to only 1 show per city, to US tours where it is every 10c member has the opportunity to get tickets to every show.
NOTE: (This confuses me. There are less 10c members in Aus anywhere else, why do we get screwed over?)
Solution:
10 club
1) Lengthens the sales window. Ie in Copenhagen you buy 300 tickets off the promoter (I assume you do this anyhow as you always charge us more) and block an area off. If its Manchester, 1200. If it's Melbourne 2000....
You give us 1 month to get our shit together. This means those of us travelling from 12000 miles away can budget for it.
It also means that you won't get a massive spike in traffic and crash your servers or check outs
At the end of the month exclusivity tickets get given back to promoter.
If this cant work why not?

i just can't wait to see everyone praise them with this gets done ..... what a joke that will be
I honestly don't understand how people can praise them. Sure, don't personally attack the people..they are people and don't deserve to be treated like crap. But the fan club members are paying customers and deserve solutions, communication, and a system that works! This "club" just seems to be getting worse and worse from my POV. I'm not sure what is and what is nto out of their control..or is being controlled by lawyers, managers, etc...which is why I'm not sure we should always blame 10C per se...maybe they have been told not to give us any answers by someone else in Pearl Jam, INC.....but something needs to change in Pearl Jam's organization.

brilliant!
Its so nice - we have a place to write but nobody is interested in, i mean did we get any news ?
My nightmare is : i get a email at 3pm -> the sale is at 5 pm and i am at work
I think the TC is pissed off about this situation more we think.
If we had a nodding smiley this would be the perfect moment for it.

Alpine looks like a cakewalk compared to how they've handled this
