I really hope that weekend come out on DVD/Blu. Watching that video brought back the memories of mud in my shoes and the crappy tickets that first night...but the awesomeness and hanging out with good people the second night!
One last thing however, there are a TON of different fans interviewed on this thing, how come none of these have stepped forward telling us about being interviewed at PJ 20. I mean there are so many different interviews!
Again, I hope that I am just trying to keep myself from getting to excited about the possibility of a release of the entire weekend, but I just don’t want to get my hopes up and be let down!
I'm the guy at 1:45 who says "One of the best, most fantastic live bands EVER". I was just walking up the hill with a couple buddies when the two-man camera crew stopped me for a little interview. At their prompting I babbled for a couple minutes -- mainly about how I'd love to hear some Who songs and how awesome 10 Club is -- and I could tell they were thinking "let's move on, this guy's giving us diddly". I'm happy to see they found a little snippet to use!
For those thinking they might release an Alpine PJ20 film, do you really think so? I mean, there were some cameras there but it seemed to be far from a professional, multi-camera shoot.

That was professional editing. (And the audio isn't even from Alpine?) I just don't recall there being many pro cameras recording the actual shows beyond the ones for the video screens. Not that we wouldn't be happy to purchase a DVD of that footage...

They used our images in the PJ20 countdown Day 5 video, too.
As we were stepping away from the cut-out letters, one of the video crew asked our pal for his permission to use that shot. I don't think there was any interviewing other than to get approval for the images.

*nods* I understand. I don't know much about film making but I do know that the PJ crew can work miracles with next to nothing. Take Touring Band 2000. That's defo not pro-shot but what a magnificent work of art that turned out to be... The day PJ delivers Hollywood-polished imagery, I'll shoot myself. Um... ... Rhetorically, of course...
ill trade not this dvd happening for get back time and relive the whole weekend once again....
the WHOLE this time....
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
I was there as well and did not see a camera crew during the show as you would if you are pro shooting something. Alot of the concert footage used in the video is not even from Alpine.

Sure looks like Alpine Valley to me... What footage isn't from Alpine?

Something big is gonna be released, given it's been 9+ weeks since the shows happened and we don't have boots yet. Like every other sweet piece of merch they put out, it's gonna be worth the wait!

That was so awesome. Man, the time you sang Evolution, man.
But honestly, I saw plenty of cameras in various places on stage and in front of the stage. Pro type cameras that were feeding the video monitors, plus some that the shots never did make it to the overheads. I think they came well prepared to unleash a beast of a concert DVD.

Hey Rich.... I recognized you from the snippet! I told my wife..."thats the guy who ran Atomic Records!"
Good to see you over here. I said hello to you at the show. We also sat in front of you in Chicago 09. I was wearing my Atomic Records T that night. I'm Brett, the tall dude with the Brewers hat at PJ20...

I hope they release dvd's, but wouldn't a pro shot show have alot more cameras? Especially with no repeat tunes.
What you see on the lawn screens isn't up to the quality of a pro shot mass released concert vid.
for complete shows, probably yes. but if they want to release a documentary-type compilation of the weekend, a few cameras on the main stage and one or two cameras on the side stages would do the job.
I hope it is more of a documentary of the weekend...IMO...The band wasn't on top of their game...Specially for the first night...But, overall it was great weekend..I was able to meet some old friends and make some new friends..
