Let's just hope the NFL doesn't become a new pulpit for the right wing, anti-abortion, super-Christians just because Tebow can run a little bit and pass for a couple yards while the RB's do the rest of the work. Gag me with a spoon.
  • I kinda feel bad for Tebow... I'm not in Denver, but from what I see, he doesn't say anything, doesn't act preachy, etc... It's his crazy band of followers.

I don't follow Tebow too closely, and I don't know if he's "preachy", and if he is I really don't care, the dude can be as religious as he wants, but the reason people think that is because of his pro-life commercial, his habit of referencing a different Bible verse in his eye black every game (I don't know if he still does it in the NFL though) and various other stuff.

By the way, I can't believe he didn't get sacked on that last play, seemed like he was scrambling around forever.

Say what you may about this guy but he is MAGICAL.....he finds a way to get the job done. Turned a very boring game down here in S Florida on Gator Championship Day into an exciting finish of the pathetic Dolphins.

so for basically 56 minutes the Dolphins abused him, and then they go into prevent mode. This is coupled with the fact that CBS Sports is in so much financial trouble that they can't afford HD cameras on both sides of the field, and neither the TD nor the key catch could be clearly reviewed because they were using cameras clear across the field and/or blocked by the receiver (I think the TD would have been reversed in a game on ESPN/NBC/FOX, the second one looked good). mix in announcers just fellating him, while he throws passes that go sideways and forward at the same time, a team that doesn't really want to win, and you get the pukefest that was yesterday. Tebow has had "magic" against the dolphins, texans, and chargers in his career - just an overwhelming collection of defenses that he's shredded

I di dnot see the game, but did Tebow lead them back? Or did Miami suddenly realize that if they won it would hurt the chance of them landing Luck and collapse?

 Tebow led them back but he shouldn't have been in that spot to begin with. Earlier in the game he had Decker wide open for a TD and showed once again that his arm is not good for an NFL QB. Not saying he wont have a nice career, but he was to work on finding his receivers.

Teebs was HORRIBLE like really fucking HORRIBLE (40 yards thru 3 qtrs, 67 thru 56 mins, and was sacked more times than he completed passes), and then got it going for various reasons. I honestly think the Dolphins saw this as a tiebreak in the suck for luck sweepstakes and called off the dogs.

I hated him in college. But now that it seems everyone is against him and he was 2nd fiddle for a while, I have to say I'm a fan. I'm really hoping he is successful.

But, if it takes you OT to beat MIAMI......there is doubt.

The amount of hype that this guy gets is insane. I just don't get it. He'll be a mediocre QB at best in the NFL. Yeah, that was a very nice comeback, but he looked like absolute shit for the first 55 mins of that game.

I personally like Tebow and wish him the best in Denver. His faith and the way he shows it doesn't bother me at all. I'd rather have preachy Jesus freaks in the NFL than crazy drugged up thugs getting arrested all the time.

edit: but crazy drugged up NFL thugs who get arrested all the time are funny to me. I'm looking at you Chris Cooke of the Vikings.

  • Week 15 Pats travel to Denver. I will go on record as saying Tebow shreds the Pats secondary and has a couple big runs. Pats win obviously, but Tebow will shine in that game. 35-30. Mark it.
