and i give him credit, he has actually raised a topic that all us Philly people agree on - and if you see our sports threads that NEVER happens.
nothing more to be said if he is so naive not to actually deal in facts.
Haha yea. Everyone in Philly is in agreement on this one for sure. supposedly knox lives in the same neighborhood as the lead singer of the band we all love on this board. kind of strange.0

Very true. I mean he equates the tv show The Wire with real life. Total fantasy world.[/quote]
dont know if this is sarcasm or not, but the wire is one of the most realistic shows ever to air. theres a reason its considered among the best tv shows of all time. david simon didnt create 5 seasons of the show to live in fantasy land and deal in fantasy, he had a pretty specific and clear objective with the show the its mission.0 -

well im presuming the info about where she lives is correct, the media obviously isnt saying "oh she lives near a rock star". mention of landmarks and such which i assume is the same neighborhood. but its strange because i dont picture the two coexisting in the same neighborhood. thats all. which brings up the inevitable question of, wonder what ed makes of it all. surely the neighborhood was abuzz, and of course, ed, is a man of conscience, and clearly believes that the justice system is severely flawed. would be interesting to see if he felt she's innocent. for me, i immediately felt the wm3 were innocent. with knox i never had that feeling,0 -
News reporter: [Voicing over a frontal shot of the Knox's home, during a news broadcast] Of course, there's no way to see into the Knox home without some kind of infrared heat-sensitive camera. So let's turn it on!
[Shot suddenly changes to an xray-like image of the house, with two distinct orange heat sources. One is the entire Knox family, including Amanda, sitting on the couch, the other is a turkey-shaped silhouette rotating in the oven]
News reporter: Now, this technology is new to me, but I'm pretty sure that's Amanda Knox in the oven, rotating slowly.
[Camera zooms in for a clear shot of the turkey]

dude, West Seattle has a population of about 50,000 people, it's not like she lives next door to him (and if she does, so what?) the area is fairly affluent with an average income of close to $100k. Knox also went to a private Catholic school, and her parents spent over $1M on her case, the fact that she lives in 'the same area' is irrelevant. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

This is true, I hear Ed called her up and said "This neighborhood isn't big enough for the both of us"0 -

I was the opposite.. took me a while to change my mind about WM3, with knox, I felt it right away.0 -
regardless of opinions, the basic tenet of any prosecution and conviction is beyond reasonable doubt. Reviewing the details of the case there is no way she should have been convicted in the first place. There was never anything that wax BRD... I'm personally glad she is free but hope the focus stays on finding the truth about what happened to Meredith kurcher.0

This whole case is pretty fucked up really - everyone's pretty much forgotten Meredith in this and I feel so sorry for her family. Nobody would have given a shit about Amanda were she not 'hot'. I think it's only the American media who portray her as innocent. She lied enough for the blame to be placed squarely on her. It's an odd case and I've a feeling she got away with it. You could tell her speech in the court was an act and she was trying to force herself to cry.
Anyway, I just hope Meredith's family see justic really. The Astoria??? Orgazmic!

Unfortunately, the victim always gets the shaft in high profile cases like this.
It's sad but true.
Did she have anything to do with this? I'm leaning towards yes but not sure to what extent her
involvement went.
but "hot"?? She's not.0 -
