JTH wrote:I went a little overboard yesterday.
First, I preordered the Nevermind deluxe picture disc set.
Then last night, I went to a record store and picked up the following:
- Beastie Boys - Check Your Head and Hot Sauce Committee part 2 (white vinyl)
- Blitzen Trapper - Destroyer of the Void
- Bottle Rockets - Lean Forward
I'd already blown my budget in the "B" section, but then I spotted a used copy of The Who's Quadrophenia so I grabbed that as well.
On top of all this, my copy of Wilco's The Whole Love should be arriving any day now.
And double bonus, I finally got around to listening to Hot Sauce Committee today and it's got a "runout groove bonus track" on side 3. I love albums like that.
Also, I love all of the music on every one of these albums.0 -
Had a real feeling today of needing some good new sounds echoing round my room. Went out and came across a tatty early pressing of this:
Bit crackly in the quiet bits, but it sounds IMMENSE, it really does! I had this on CD but never really thought it was all that special. Mission accomplished!Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

I'm enjoying it! I was in a bad mood earlier today, but a load of Pete Townshend's guitar on maximum volume has sorted that outCancel my subscription to the Ressurection

Although I dread to think of the resale value, my heart is warmed by the fact that young people today have their priorities straight!
