Turns out, the cable company where I live doesn't have a pay-per-view that has PJ20 on it....mostly WWE and porn bullshit.

Does anyone know where I can find a full size PJ20 Movie Poster? I looked on ebay and only saw a mini and a very large silk poster. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Drove from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, NM to see the PJ20 film. Was definetly worth the little road trip. The part of the film when they become a band 'til Vitalogy is pretty intense. Some funny parts as well. Stone's Grammy in the basement was hilarious. Felt like Crow captures the personality of each band member. (Not much Boom though). Overall, a great film.

I also drove up from ABQ to Santa Fe on the 20th to see this. I was at the 8:30 showing. A lot of funny moments for sure. Though there were a lot fairly sad moments as well. Mostly Joyous! A Fantastic film! I loved seeing it in a theater with other PJ fans. I was very happy to learn I was not alone in NM as a big fan. We are for sure few a far between here. I guess that is why they don’t play here. For sure worth the drive to see this film. I just wish The CFCA had a better sound system.

Also, was it just me... Or were there a lot of parts from the trailer that did not make the final cut of the movie? I really hope there is more interview footage and the SE 3 Disk DVD. Cannot wait until DVD!!!

If you can only afford to buy either the book or the soundtrack at this time, what would people suggest thus far?

The book definitely. I'm not a fan of the soundtrack. You can't tell me there aren't better demos by the band than these.

I just finished the book and I thought it was awesome. I understand that it didn't get into the Dave A. stuff really at all but I really don't care. What a 20 years it has been. My daughter says we have a new bible in the house. Thanks PJ for the past 20 years

I would say the book. I am on the second disc of the soundtrack and it is great but the book is a must.

Just got home to find the soundtrack in my mailbox. As I sit here listening I'm stunned. Listening to Ed sing Oh dear Dad..." brings tears to my eyes. I recently finished the new book and have been looking through everything Pearl Jam I can find online and I must say that no interview or articles or pictures can even begin to compete with the songs. It's really the Music we all love so much. I read a post yesterday that said "Pearl Jam is the soundtrack to my life" all I can say is you took the words right out of my heart. This is the best version of Not for You I've heard. Here's to twenty more years of being the greatest band the world has ever had the privilege to witness. Thanks guys.

    Absolutely love the book!
Especially love the review on each album and the bands opinions and views on each.
Stone not being happy about Vitalogy and No Code.
    Pictures are amazing as well

Only down point is, and its been said before, the lack of acknowledgement of Dave A's firing from the band.
Not so much that I want the juicy details but more so their thoughts. Do they feel bad about it? Do they still think about him?
I had it all once I gave it back

Digging the soundtrack a alot. Only problem i have is they have 2 Nothing As It Seems versions. I like the Jeff Ament demo one. They could have replaced the live one from Seattle with something else, IMO.

    Book is great :D

So glad I decided to buy the soundtrack. I was going to give it a miss since I have so much live PJ anyway but saw it in the shop and couldn't resist. After watching PJ20 these songs mean so much more. Definately a 'truly dedicated fan' style soundtrack though, I don't think a casual fan can appreciate the intensity and meaning behind some of those scratchy performances. On repeat in my car....

That Sept. 06 Italy soundcheck version of "Faithfull"; hearing them live without the crowd, I forget how awfully freakin tight they usually are. That coulda been a studio version imo

I thought the same thing - was disappointed they didn't share their thoughts/feelings on DA a b t more. But, there were some good quotes from Stone, Mike and Brendan O on the topic. Also, it occurred to me that it wasn't their place to say too much when there was obviously a side to the story not being represented in the book. In that context, maybe it was the classy thing to do - not going on and on about DA's exit. I was glad there was input from Dave Krusen and Matt Chamberlain who also both had integral roles at different times, albeit Krusen's significantly larger.

If you are talking about the CD soundtrack, no, you do not need hd. And you wouldn't "need" it for DVD BUT it would sure as heck make your listening experience more enjoyable. Obviously you need a blu ray dvd player for the blu ray version...

:?: I tried searching the forum but couldn't find this anywhere...I remember reading in the Goods section about the release/shipment date for the Deluxe Blu-Ray. Now that the item description has been removed, I don't remember what it said. Does anyone else remember what the release/ship date was? Thanks!
