Anyone else jealous of shows your parents got to see?

My father was jealous of me when I saw Pink Floyd

My parents attended concerts don't make me too jealous but one of their friends (he's on this board but I don't know his username) has been to just about everything in the States. I think he saw Led Zep's first American show, was at Woodstock- so he saw just about everyone in music, has seen Dylan in the 100's, Springsteen countless times, believe he saw Hendrix at Fillmore East but I could be wrong, The Dead way too many times and the list goes on and on. He has been going to concerts from the 1960's-present. He and his wife(also at Woodstock) gave me a lift home from PJ in Newark last year.

A resounding YES!! My mom is not a big music person, but got to see 2 awesome shows in particular: Rolling Stones at Shea Stadium and Led Zeppelin at MSG.

My dad, on the other hand, is a HUGE music person and gave me the music foundation that I am forever grateful for. He introduced me to amazing artists at a really young age- I can remember listening to The Who, Hendrix, The Beatles, and The Doors with him. He's had some RIDICULOUSLY cool music experiences, guess it was pretty awesome being intothe music scene in the late '60s and early '70s:
-Woodstock. Was 2nd row the first day. He has some pretty amazing stories from that! And still raves about Hendrix and The Who and Santana's performances.
-Small club shows with Ace Frehley- My dad and Ace were friends growing up, they grew up in the Bronx together and would always run into each other at gigs (my dad wasn't a musician, he just loved music), so they hung out quite frequently.
-Fillmore East shows: When my dad was a teenager/early 20s, he worked at a clothing store across the street from The Fillmore. So he had easy access to a lot of cool shows, notably The Who, The Doors, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Edgar Winter.
-Zeppelin at that Garden concert, which I am supremely jealous of! He has also gotten kicked out of a bar with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page before. What the hell?!
-He skipped school to see Black Sabbath on their first US headlining tour!
-The Ramones at CBGB's, which must've been unreal!
-The Kinks in a really small venue
-Run DMC at the Garden. Took some of his students too (he's a teacher)

Don't think I'm old enough to be your dad but I saw Stevie open for Robert Plant in '89 I think. At the Brendon Byrne Arena in NJ.

Only one... back in the mid-70s my parents went to see Johnny Cash with June Carter Cash but because June was sick that night, Johnny played for well over three hours that night.

I'm not entirely sure I would have wanted to be at a Beatles concert, except just to be able to say I was there. My favorite stuff from them came after they stopped touring for the most part. I really have no desire to hear them sing "Love Me Do" or "I Want To Hold Your Hand" while hysterical teenage girls scream in my ear to the point they bleed.

I would have loved to have seen The Stones on the Exile On Main Street Tour, Pink Floyd during any tour or Led Zeppelin, but oh well.

my parents didn't go to concerts I don't think but I just talked to a guy last night who went to the last Jimi Hendrix show of the Experience tour in 1969. I was jealous.
