    Heya Gus! hows things?

    It's a different Stella btw.....not Illegal pants :D

    but yeah....I assume it's in psychology, Stella?? (my memory's a bit fuzzy :p )

You have a great memory!!! Thanks for the congrats :)
    I have no signature
  • Oh... I know... I don't think Illegal Pants would be doing her PhD just yet... but I could be wrong!!!

LMFAO!!! You have no idea how funny that is :D My memory is either absolutely SHOCKINGLY bad...or really good......not the latter enough though :o hehe
  • Dementia and residential care/coping strategies sounds pretty full on!!!

I could give you heaps of advice about what to do and what not to do when embarking on a PhD... but you'll surely get it from everone else!

Actually... the best advice I could give you is... not to listen to advice!!!
  • So Kylie... I haven't been on this thread in months... do you know of any Aussies heading Stateside this year???

Ummmmm? Dumb question of the day :o - what's 'stateside'? Eastern States?
  • Nah... the United States... for Bonnaroo and what ever other shows that are currently being rumoured!!!

    ohhhh DUH :o

No body in here is going. Mind you.....Hinny hasn't popped in here for a visit since the announcement - wouldn't surprise me if he's going??
I wish I was!!!!!! Great lineup!!!

    Are you going?
  • I was talking to Big Mick yesterday and we're both keen to head over next time they announce a decent run of shows. That said, I'd prefer to go over on the back of a new album - which I can't see coming out until 2009...

hmmmmm....I'm predicting next album release around September/October.

With this talk of more shows around Bonnaroo time....would make it worth while heading over.

    Do eeeet!!! :D

I also think they'll start the next tour in Aus; and it'll be Summer or early Autumn '09....so you could do the US trip, come home for a break and some $aving and do the whole Aus leg again.

I was reading a post somewhere by HInny and it sounded like he was thinking about shows....I cant remember what thread it was, if I find it I will tell u
  • Well... I really do hope that you're right... on both counts!!!

I'm off again... catch you in a few more months :-)

I think Hinny would be VERY keen.....not only to catch some PJ, but to catch up with all the great friends he made last tour :)

Take care, Gus! Great to have you back again and DON'T leave it so long next time :D

If you get to Bonnaroo.....you have to let us know how it was.

    *waves* Ciao for now!
  • I read on his Facebook that he had reviewed his budget... and wasn't going to be able to make it...

After his big trip away last year, I guess it might be hard ....
I think I may have read it over at RM......

Did anyone know DirtyFrank0705 from RM he died...:(

I am. But there's a money issue. I plan on moving to the UK next year and I've heard I might need like 5 grand in my kitty if I'm to be allowed in the country. I'm not totally sure if this is the case, but I definitely can't go if it is.

I'd be seriously stretching my means if I went. Needing to have some kind of savings when I move just rules that out outright.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you need to have proof of funds which make you capable of sustaining yourself without the Government's assistance.
$5000 seems a lot though, but then again the cost of living is quite a bit higher over there

    Don't start mate
The worst thing is that I'm up in QLD this weekend when the game is here in Newie :(
I think my Jets shirt, a pub, a TV and a couple of schooners could make for an interesting time :)

Wow Hinny! That sounds fantastic!!! Great goal for you and a pretty good excuse to give Roo a miss :(

    $5,000 - shizers!! I s'pose it's only about 5pounds ;)

I hope the fact you're moving over there doesn't mean you won't be with us for the next tour :(

God no. I get paid double over there for doing the same work. Easier to use London as a base to go follow PJ around than from here.

ha ha, you should walk into their soccer club in your jets shirt, they'll have it on the big screen, and it's only 10 minutes down the road from me.

I'd have to bring Woz with me (strength in numbers :) )
I can see it now, Woz and myself back to back, moving in a circle, broken bottles in hand, surrounded by a circle of angry Qld fans who are thirsty for blood, after ironically, former Brisbane Striker Jade North scores the winner to put the Jets into the Grand Final :D

Hey Glenn. Have you got FIFA 08? If you do then we can have a dress rehearsal Newcastle vs Queensland match on Xbox Live :D
