I need a freakin' copy of The Wall. When I started this whole vinyl thing I vowed to myself that I would never resort to eBay. It's too much fun to find what I want in the bins at the record store but The Wall is never there. I really don't want to go back on my word to myself

I seen a used copy at the record store just yesterday for $15 and almost grabbed it just to have an extra..I paid $30 for mine. Maybe you can call and they'll ship it to you... Joe's Records (618)244-4600

I didn't crack it open to check the condition of the vinyl, but the jacket was in great condition aside from the original owner writing their name on it.

There are certain records, that, if you see, regardless of your money situation, you don't let them slip by.

I went to my local record store today and grabbed the DSOTM reissue along with the National's Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers on Vinyl. It was a good trip.

Pink Floyds 'Ummagumma', an original one from 1969 in PERFECT condition, even the sleeve looks great, especially for a 42 year old record!! you gotta love vinyl lovers who take care of their records

edit: .......oh my god...42??? unbelievable!! I was a bit irritated and actually had to count if it's really 42 years already!

Well I went to the store to buy...

And they actually had a copy of The Wall. And all the records were 15% off today, so I couldn't pass it up even though I will buy the re-release in January.

Well, it said: "Music On Vinyl is proud to release this milestone in a very cool limited configuration; the first 1000 numbered copies -3 sides audio & 1 etched side - will be on red vinyl!"

Sounds like only the first 1000 copies are the red limited ones and all after that are regular black. I just don't know if I was one of the 1000 first pre-orderers ... The amazon site clearly said "Limited Edition".

Edit: I just got to know that Music On Vinyl have confirmed that all shipped pre-orders from the UK amazon site where it is marked as Limited Edition are red. Yay

And they are sold out by now...

no problem mate - glad you're enjoying em

today's 'to do' list seems to have gone out of the window - is midday and I haven't left the house, got sucked into spinning some records. Think I'll get moving soon and go do some work in town - I have that fluttering feeling that there is vinyl to be found today too. Compared to this, developing a crack habit doesn't seem too bad an idea!
