"You are the luckiest fan in the board having heard oceans, release and hard to imagine three shows in a row!!"0 -
Some of you mentioned about the same songs between Montreal and Ottawa; I agree with that! :(
But... It was the second show in a row that I was winning the lottery (9th row at Toronto 2, 2nd row tonight!!!) and I can't complain, really. Too bad to see the setlist tonight and that Smile was crossed off and that they changed Indifference for Come Back but... they played The Real Me, which is always cool live!!! And yet, I have to give this to the band; the level of energy never changed between the shows; always at their best!!! You guys are awesome!!
That's it for me, 4 shows in this tour. Thanks PJ, it was a great run... Oceans will be for a next show!!!You're not what you own - Ian MacKaye, Fugazi

That's crap, I'm sorry about that. Let me know if you want mine, I wouldn't mind giving it to you. And no, it wasn't me who stole it!!

I had an amazing night. It was my first show in a very long time. After e show, on the ride back to NY, I grabbed the iPad and wrote down my immediate thoughts. I had planned on posting here but it got far too lengthy to put here. It's a pretty in depth review of the night and my experiences from row 1, seats 25 and 26.
I truly felt it was a night for the fans. Laura had a huge shout out, as did the girl to my right when she had requested Come Back. From where we stood, it was an emotional night and The band did nothing but connect... It was fantastic.
Here's my night:

You'd have been close to me! I was row 15, middle section, seats 11 and 12.
And yes. Ottawa crowds are brutal most nights. We rarely sell out concerts (there were lots of empty seats up the 300's near the back and side stage last night) and we are very laid back unfortunately. Wite collar and political town. Guess that's what you get. As mentioned, even during hockey games alot of people don't even cheer much when (or should I say "if") the Senators score :?
Also, the location of Scotiabank Place sucks, so that may factor in too. Most people drive out and leave early to beat traffic . . . . It's a shame.Barrie 08/22/98

Wow that was an amazing show. I have a pretty decent fanclub number (in the 130's) so I thought I would get decent seats, but when the lady at the booth told me we had first row it totally blew my mind. It was like a whole different experience since instead of looking at one or two spots where you can actually see, I was able to see everything (other than Boom since he was behind a speaker from my vantage point). I was basically right in front of Stone, so when Ed and Mike came to my side for the end of Alive, they were a little more than arms length from me. The set list was pretty good I thought. And I was glad to see that the arena seemed to be more full than it did in 05, since my big worry was since that show didn't sell too well they were going to never come back. Either way though it was awesome and I think my ears are still ringing slightly. Also the guys from Boston who were sitting next to us were hilarious. If either of those guys is on here, it looks like you got pretty good pictures.0

Ok so it was no Ottawa 2005...but not many shows are.
Another terrific show, my first and only show on this tour. Loved the rocking main set, highlights were Breath for sure and an amazing Corduroy. Actually i absolutely loved The Real Me...was super glad to get that one and not Rockin/Baba.
Thanks 10c...12th row floor was terrific! The crowd was somewhat lame but as has already been mentioned its kind of to be expected in Ottawa (05 was the exception).
Till next time!Shows: Montreal 98, Barrie 98, Montreal 00, Montreal 03, Montreal 05, Ottawa 05, Toronto 06, Vancouver Night 1 08 (EV), Vancouver Night 2 08 (EV), MSG1 08, MSG2 08, Montreal Night 2 08 (EV), Toronto Night 1 08 (EV), Toronto 09, Hartford 11 (EV), Ottawa 11, Ottawa 16, Ottawa 22.0 -
