    Screening Times

    1. Monday September 12
    Princess Of Wales
    7:00pm

Can't catch that. It conflicts with PJ's show that night :-)

With Neil being in town, I wonder if he'll show up at either of the Toronto shows.
I'm from Montreal and I was planning to see the 2nd screnning, since the first one is early in the afternoon. We'll have to leave Montreal at 4-5 AM if we want to get there in time.

    Now I'm screwed. :(

it's probably worse than trying to get tickets to an EV show in NYC

FitPearl is referring to PJ20. The second showing is at 10AM. With Montreal being a 5 - 6 hour drive from Toronto, it means for a really long day to catch both the movie and the show in the evening.

i realize that, I was trying to not cause confusion, and ended up causing more. Toronto is going to be very exciting that weekend!

Depending how quickly you walk, it'll take you ~15 min to get there. You could always hop in a cab if time's running short.
  • Well, I was planning on lining up all night to get tickets to the premiere at TIFF. WAS! Unfortunately, the premiere is at two in the afternoon! My eight year old son has his house league tournament that afternoon. Don't suppose that because you guys are such an incredible band, that you could convince TIFF to change the time to say, six? Well, looking forward to the show on the 12th, and I guess that I'll have to wait until the 20th to see PJ20. Maybe Ethan would rather go to the movie?

honestly ... i would wait the 8 days or so and catch it at the movie theatres ... you'll have better picture and sound and you'll pay less to see it ...

it's one thing to try and score tickets to the premier but it's another to make that effort for the secondary screening ...

yeah ... just wanted to make you aware that the world premiere is on the 10th and that the screening at 10 am on the 12th (which is the one you said you were going for) is only a secondary screening ... no hoopla and likely no band members ...

Wish it was 10am. Cause the preparty starts around 2-3pm that day.
  • what time is the presale for toronto premiere..what time Winsconsin i mean.. :)

Haha, as far as I know, there is no 10c presale for the premiere.

If you're just buying a ticket to one film (i.e. not as part of a festival ticket package), then the tickets go onsale on Sat Sept 3. You can buy tickets in person at the Festival box office, or online at the TIFF website, or on the telephone. The Festival box office opens at 7am EST (= 6 am Wisconsin time) on Sept 3, so I'm guessing that online and telephone sales will also start at 7am EST (6am Wisconsin time)... although I've emailed TIFF to confirm this and am still waiting for a reply.

Also note: if buying tickets online or via telephone, the ONLY method of payment that is accepted it VISA - no other credit cards, no debit, no paypal, etc.... (VISA is a major sponsor of the festival and has secured this right for years now, much to my chagrin). If you buy tickets in person at the box office, however, you can use cash or debit card.
