Singapore! Do I fly to Singapore is Hong Kong on the way? Don't like how it just says "SE Asia", like Singapore is all there will be....

Holy shit!!! Can't wait!!! Btw, HK isn't considered part of southeast Asia rite? Hope you'll get the screening there too.

Yeah HK is SE asia. are you in Sinapore? I may need to break a Sinapore server so I need a reason to fly down...

Yeah, I'm living in S'pore. Very strong moviegoing culture for a small country, but as far as PJ20 is concerned, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a low turnout here.

I am there a lot. Hopefully I find an excuse to get down there.

    PJ20: Soundtrack Tracklisting!

You’ve been waiting patiently and the tracklisting for the Pearl Jam Twenty soundtrack was unveiled throughout yesterday via a Twitter scavenger hunt on PJ20.com. These clues were scattered all over the world and the first person to correctly identify a song was awarded with a limited edition PJ20 poster. Here’s a pic of the clue for “Black” which was displayed at Times Square. Kind of a Vanilla Sky moment, huh?

The soundtrack features 29 songs spread over two CD’s when it’s released on September 20, 2011. A vinyl version is also forthcoming. Disc one is dedicated to songs featured in the film, while disc 2 focuses on demos and rarities. The soundtrack was curated by Cameron and will feature his liner notes and track by track thoughts. Wow, German dates have been added, and it's fantastic, but they also show the movie on Sept 20th and I'll be on my plane back to Germany right then :? I sooooooo hope I can make it to the premiere in Toronto - otherwise I won't see that movie in a theatre  FINGERS CROSSED!

just a head's up on the 10th - I try to go to the film festival every year - you can't really pre-order tickets unless you get some sort of industry in or corp package (like a sponsor connection) - you can buy tickets for movies but you have to basically line up on the morning tickets are being released and hope that your movie still has available tickets when you get to the wicket - there are hundreds and hundreds of regular fest folk who have bought tickets in advance and will pick your movie by default if the ones they wanted are gone - and premiers and galas go first (and they're expensive) - so it doesn't at all turn into a PJ fan thing but more of a festival goers thing - I've lined up in the wee hours for years and never once been able to get the tickets I wanted and no matter how early I go there are a couple of hundred people in front of me, and people come from all over the world to line up with their schedule - there are rush lines but not usually for special event movies - just wanted to let you guys know that it's not at all a fan thing - it's a fest thing and it's really difficult to get the tickets you want

don't want to bring anyone down and I really hope people manage to get their tickets - but scoring fest tickets to the actual movie you want to see is pretty tough

I've seen people buy their block and maybe get one of the movies they were wanting to see at pick up

so best of luck to us all - but be prepared for a long slow line and potential slim pickings

on that note fingers crossed and hope at least a couple of us manage it somehow!
    we're all sentient snowflakes
  • List the swedish dates- come on! go go go!

  • Just got an email from the pretty much the only cinema in Gothenburg that I could figure showing it (they are showing that RHCP live concert) and they said they will NOt show it because they have other arrangements that day and PJ only let cinemas show it on that specific date :/

They also said that I had to get over to copenhagen to see it - which I guess means Sweden might not get any screenings? (even though an emial from 10C said I should "stay tuned")

    Yuck.

10C come on - WILL THERE BE SCREENINGS IN SWEDEN?

I just picked up my TIFF film schedule. PJ20 is premiering on Sept 10th at 2pm. The venue is the Princess of Wales theatre. Given the venue, it's almost guaranteed the band will be there.

For those of you who haven't attended TIFF before and are planning to come out to this, don't count on being able to meet the band at this venue. There's a stage between the audience and where they'll be talking. TIFF will also usually have a car waiting by the back door to whisk actors/directors/band members away once they're done.

Can't catch that. It conflicts with PJ's show that night :-)

With Neil being in town, I wonder if he'll show up at either of the Toronto shows.
