    it does make sense. pj there in 07 before lolla, soundgarden there last year before lolla (arent there pj management involved with soundgarden management?). pretty sure both were on thursday night. while they may be practicing back home, they could use a warm up in the area once all of their gear makes the trip, for what is essentially a "festival" appearance. they have been following similar touring patterns over the last few years as well. it would be amazing for everyone who gets in.

    i found the announcement email from 2007. They were sent on 7/24 and onsale 7/26 for the 8/2 show.

    alpine is the 3rd and the 4th
    makes no sense for the band to show up a week BEFORE those shows

    That being said, there have been some very strange tour routes recently leading me to think Tom Waits' tour, which he claimed was being directed by the constellation Erasmus, made more sense.

    I'd think it would be Thursday at the latest because on Friday you would THINK they'd be near Alpine doing soundcheck since they can't do it on Saturday... I just don't see them being able to do a warmup show and also accomplishing that.

    That said they don't NEED a warmup show... they're not new at this, but you'd think for such a big occasion they would do a warmup show.

    Since D is saying not Wednesday but Thursday I'm going with it because he seems awfully sure of that... I think he's got some insider info not that there's anything anyone can do until its announced anyway. 8-)
