    i've played gears of war for like 9 hours straight and the xbox was obviously warm, but i would say it was boiling hot or anything. but yeah i do try to make sure it doesn't feel too hot when i'm playing, and in summer the air cons always on so it's in a cool room.

    You do hear some horror stories about those things..... even though i only had mine 2 months, i got the feeling it was on the way out. It would only be on for about an hour, and it would be too hot to touch!!! ps3 on the other hand runs cooler than kevin rudd in a strip joint!

    I never have problems with my '1983 Atari' overheating and sometimes I play 'Pong' for 12 hours straight!! Don't even get me started on the graphics :eek: A-Mazing!!

    ha ha, yeah, a guy i know his runs a bit hot, but the main problem is the noise, It sounds like a jet taking off when it's running.

    mine is pretty quiet. i think the main thing microsoft has fucked is the inconstancy with them, some have no dramas, some are just shit, some have flames coming out when they run, some melt a hole in whatever they are sitting on and some are fine. it just seems to be random.

    but yeah they have had way more problems then they thought they were gonna, but they have done something about it by offering the extra warranty for free, and reimbursing people who have had to pay to get them fixed. it's gonna cost them a bit of cash but at least they are doing something, most peeps would leave ya to deal with it.
