Alpine PJ20 question - lawn seating - bring lawn chairs?
Wondering if for the day that we're in the lawn area should we bring a lawn chair or blanket? Do people really setup lawn chairs and blankets and keep their same spots the entire day? Don't know what you would do with the lawn chairs once PJ starts and everyone is packed in together. Anyway, just wondering if we need to pack this stuff with us for the flight or just leave it at home. Thanks in advance for advice from anyone who has been to Apline before!

Wow, I can't believe they are allowing it. Wait until people(not in the 10 Club) find out they can't go in the PJ center area of the lawn area. Yikes.

Personally, I'd stick with a blanket - less to lug around and you won't have to worry about it once PJ starts!
You definitely want to bring a blanket or something similar, though. I've been to shows where we've forgotten them and it kinda sucks.

Too much alcohol + chairs = people thinking they are funny by throwing a chair.

Also, how about all the comfortable 10c lawn area peeps that will get innundated when PJ takes the stage and the barrier is removed? those non-GA writband people are maybe going to feel entitled now to claim their (your) ground. Seems like a small payoff (chairs) for a potentialy costly outcome.

IMO, the risk that someone would take someone else's beach chair and throw it is pretty minimal. People in the 10C section will be more mature than that.
There is a bigger risk of 10C members trying to hold spots for non-10C members and then others feeling entitled to push through also. Essentially though, I think once people get established in the lawn it should be civil, including beach chairs. If an interloper comes along during PJ's set, everyone around them should just tell them to keep moving. But it's not going to be a mosh pit, people will be focused on the show. That is why people took the trouble to get there.
