if they get kicked out, they will just go somewhere as close as they can to the stadium. and there is no guarantee that others will honor what they started.
you are getting there around 9am? You should be fine. and the show is fantastic no matter where you are.0 -

very cool shot...and i'm not even sure the word impressive does it proper justice.
it is really indescribable...especially when the screens move into the cylinder and then they play zooropa and city of blinding lights....and then lets go crazy and then and then...so many highlights, such an epic event...
i saw the first leg, before bono hurt his back and then saw the second leg(after he was better)
it was better the second time around, but thats prolly cause they dropped a lot of the new album songs and went with the hits. i have to give props to u2 for doing it up right. big stadium and big everything with cheap seats(if u wanted to stand in the pit). heard they grossed 3/4 of a billion dollars on this tour
i loved the elevation tour because it was stripped down but this show was such a spectacle...can't really compare one to the other because they were so different. been a u2 fan since the early 1980's and lots of peeps at the show who weren't even born when i started listening to them...not that it makes me a better fan...juss saying...its been a wild ride!0 -

Campaign Encourages Fans to Donate a Pair of Shoes And In Exchange Receive a Pair of Tickets to the U2 360° Tour
StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, is launching the Take Off Your Boots campaign to collect shoes for the charity Soles4Souls, and giving away tickets to the U2 360° Tour to those who participate. From May through July, StubHub with the help of Hard Rock Cafe, will host events in New York City and Philadelphia to collect new or gently used shoes. In exchange for donating a pair of shoes at these events, fans will receive a pair of U2 tickets.
Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity, collects shoes and distributes them to people in need. Since 2005, it has given more than 13 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes to people in over 125 countries.
“We are thrilled StubHub is making it easy for people in these cities to donate to our cause. We hope that as a result of the Take Off Your Boots campaign , Soles4Souls will be able to distribute thousands of pairs of shoes to those who are most in need,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls.
There is a limit of one pair of U2 tickets per person donating a pair of shoes at the Take Off Your Boots events, while supplies last. Shoes must be gently used or new to be accepted. The locations, dates and times of the shoe collection events are
Philadelphia (StubHub Last Minute Services Storefront, 900 Packer Ave.) – July 13 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
New York City (StubHub Last Minute Services Storefront, 40th and Broadway) – July 20 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Last year, after U2 postponed their tour many fans who purchased tickets through StubHub could not commit to the rescheduled shows. With StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee policy, these fans were able to return their tickets and receive their money back. Because it is StubHub’s policy not to resell tickets, these returned tickets are now being used to encourage charitable giving through the Take Off Your Boots campaign.
“At StubHub our number one priority is taking care of our customers, which is why we were happy to jump in and make things right for those that were stuck with tickets they couldn’t use in light of Bono’s injury and subsequent U2 rescheduling of shows last year. By helping fans we also created an excellent opportunity to give back. We are excited to partner with Soles4Souls and see this campaign as a fun way to incentivize charitable giving,” said Ray Elias, senior director of marketing for StubHub.
Those unable to make it to the events who still wish to donate shoes can find easy, step-by-step instructions on the Soles4Souls website: www.soles4souls.org.0 -

does anyone have a close up picture of the jesus statue that was at the very top of the center pole on the new stage?
jesus with his arms stretched wide open...i never realized that statue existed until the last of the 3 shows shows i saw. i kept looking up at it in disbelief...but soon realized that it was jesus! weird...
i know larry, bono and edge are hard core christians but i thought the statue was a little over the top...0 -
