  • Fantastic night. I took my 65 year old dad. Awesome times. The dedication of I Am Mine to Chris was killer..."We're all safe tonight". Story of remembering the night he wrote Immortality in the basement on masking tape was my favorite part. Funny that he woke up to see a "Snoopy Red Baron" plane flying by the Arch dive bombing a bridge with smoke coming out of the tail. "I thought, What's the world coming to? Snoopy's a terrorist now? What the fuck does Snoopy have against St. Louis? Then I saw all of the people standing underneath the Arch clapping...I realized it was an airshow!" Good laugh. I am brain dead now, will post more tomorrow. By the way, I'm sure most of you know this, but Glen Hansard is bad ass. Incredibly cool story how he and Ed connected after the stage diver during the Swell Season show. Don't miss this show if you still have a chance to go. Peace.

No mention at all in the setlist thread nor on twitter, did EV really cover Havana Moon? (one "n" by the way)

Chuck Berry is from St. Louis ... but I would love if this became a staple of EV's sets, can't wait to hear that!

The energy was astounding!! He even commented on how great we were. "god damn this world!! Fucking snoopy is a terrorist too" lmao!!
It was my 2 sons 14 and 8 first show. And my first Ed show. We will never forget it! Falling slowly was breathtaking, and unthought known was insane! Porch!!!! I love that man!
    Going to bed.

You don't look old enough to have a 14 year old son! Hope they both had a blast. You and your niece as well.

Betterman is all reworked... Almost a complete different song. Ed was in good spirits. Referenced the 94' Ed & how he'd kick his ass for behaving like an asshole. Some funny stories tonight..

That was awesome. Made the 9 and 1/2 hour drive from southern Mississippi. Worth the trip. Just gotwatched to thebe hotel. Hearing long nights was the highlight for me. Ed was in prime form. Best I can remember him playing. He was in great spirits. Thumbing my way was great and the biggest surprise was so you wanna be a rock and roll star. Thank you Ed.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Ed knows how to work it - and he did. Seriously the best show I've been to. And Glen Hansard was an amazing opening act. Hey put on a hell of a show. t
    I win.
  • just downloaded "falling slowly" EV and Hansard should record that and release it...

Great show...disappointed that the XLs in the Missouri shirt were sold out other than that cant complain a bit.
