Just got home it was fucking awesome, he made note of sompething he wrote on the wall of the fox back in 94
and it was somthing to the point of live to die. I was there then and i was there tonight :D

what can I say the fox brings out the best in ed and just to add to the sugar I got the .new lp
from the ten club this afternoon. If they want energy like that when they come to stl they got to stop playing arenas.

    Lots of love

What a great night, we drove in from Kansas City. We had upper balcony seats row G, got to the venue at 6, walked in bought the poster, shirt, and zippo and made it to our seats. Around 7:00 a gentleman came by and showed his EV stage pass and offered front row tickets for ours! He did this to 6 other couples and we all sat front row!!! Are you serious, my wife and I we're in awe, we got lucky with Tenclub sending out the email for another chance at STL tickets and now we got upgraded. But the best was yet to come after Eddie played Porch he came over and handed me the guitar pick, not a toss an actual hand off. So very happy, with all the chaos of PJ20 tickets, this was my celebration. I am truly thankful, lucky, and happy for EV and PJ in all facets. Will have a hard time sleeping tonight. The set list was amazing, great use of EV, PJ, and covers also found a new musician in glen and will be buying his album.

What a great night! Amazing set list, great venue, good crowd (for the most part). Glen and Eddie singing together is something special don't miss it. Can't wait to see them sing together again at PJ20 see you there.
    Don't it make you smile?

What a day. Went to the venue before the show and got to shake Ed's hand. Then to the pre-show fundraiser where I won an Ed picture in the silent auction. Got the 10 club tickets, on the floor 6th row. Amazing show, Ed sounds perfect. Great stories (the Snoopy one was awesome). Then he described the birth of his daughter and said she was purple and her head was shaped like a woodpecker because she got "stuck in there." He screwed up the lyrics to Immortality and in the middle of the song said how he can't believe he forgot where he was in the song. Once he got himself back on track, he had to sing the part "as privaleged as a whore," but he was worried because there was a 2 year old girl in from of him . Then he said, "well, she probably doesn't know what it is yet." The improv he did with the ASL interpreter was funny. He sang, "the singer is an asshole, the singer is a prick" so he could see what that looked like in ASL. Then he offered the interpreter some of his wine (even poured her a glass) and said, "do you have a designated interpreter?" Arc was beautiful, Porch brought down the house. Glenn was awesome, did the best cover of Astral Weeks that I have ever heard. It was a perfect night.
It's nice to be nice to the nice.

Awesome show! As others have said Ed was in good spirits and the crowd was great. I really liked Glen's set and Falling Slowly with Ed was amazing. Just got back to KC and hopefullly will get a few hours of sleep in before my flight back to MN in the morning. I'm hoping the show there is just as great if not better!

I wasn't desperately impressed with the first few setlists from this tour but they seem to be getting better and better as they go and this looks a step up again from Chicago. Really delighted for Christopher Lee Sye and family for the I Am Mine dedication. Such an appropriate song given his circumstances and he got to hear Immortality too!! Still unconvinced about so many uke songs to start the shows but I'm sure it's ok when you're actually there.

Yeah Chicago night 2 in 08 was allright, the first night in Chicago that year was absolutely one show that is tough to top.
Exhausted people. That blew away 08' CHI 2 by a light year. Comedy, dedications, 34 songs?! Nighty night....

Amazing show! This was the first time I've seen Eddie solo, and I was floored! 'Thumbing my Way' and 'So you want to be a rock n roll star' absolutely made my night. I <3 Eddie :) If it is possible, I think I'm even more excited for Alpine Valley now, come on September!
Someone handed me a picture and said, "This is a picture of me when I was younger." Every picture of you is when you were younger. "...Here's a picture of me when I'm older." Where'd you get that camera man?

Someone asked about time. He came on at 845ish and wen't till 1105ish if I remember correctly. First time I had heard Arc. That was wild. Trouble was a treat. The storytelling was non-stop. The whole show was amazing.

My favorite story of the night was Eddie talking about a pregnancy. How you wait and wait and are so excited for the moment to finally arrive. He said when his daughter was born he was "higher than he has ever been, and that's saying a lot because he's hung out with Keith Richards." Then he added that when he first got to see the baby he was, "what the fuck is this? It looked like the most beautiful Filipino baby he had ever seen. And we're not Filipino, not even way back."

Both Eddie and Glenn shared awesome stories at the show. I love when there is that much talking during the show. It makes it such a unique experience.

I gotta say Ed and Glenn need to do an album together, "Falling Slowly"---AMAZING!!

about the hecklers, there really weren't any from where I was sitting. One guy yelled out "we love you Glen" and another yelled, "we love you too Eddie". Then Eddie said we were in a really loving mood and that he and Glen shouldn't take advantage of us. Then after a pause, he said "well maybe we will take advantage of you..... well just that guy".

Other than that I didn't hear any disrespectful hecklers at all. Just a lot of "Eddieeeee" and "We love You"
It's nice to be nice to the nice.

I was at that 1st night in Chicago 08 in the 2nd row. It was really special and will always be a favorite of mine. The STL show is in that class, though, thanks to both Ed and Glen. They brought it to STL in a big way. Falling Slowly was just incredible, along with Sleepless Nights. I can't wait to see more of Glen at PJ20. Such a treat. And the Havana Moon lead in to You're True was a classy nod to St. Louis' own Chuck Berry who's still playing in his 80s and is a (the?) founding father of Rock n Roll. Made me listen to the whole song this morning. Ed's little Improve to the ASL translator was pretty damn funny too. Can't wait to hear it on a boot, if such a thing existed. ;)

As usual, I met a lot of great PJ fans outside the venue before the show. That's another highlight for me, and this was the most respectful yet loud EV crowd I've seen - - the way it should always be. Hope to see you all again soon.

And special thanks to my wife who's a true PJ fan herself and allowed me to relay the setlist, which was a lot of fun. Have fun Minneapolis!

Unreal setlist. Man I wish I could have been there. How was So You Want To Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star? I've always wanted to hear Ed sing it live.

Awesome. A real surprise to hear at a solo show and he killed it.
