Yeah saw some about that in the news.
A guy had his vintge car collection destroyed...
He a had a lot of Beetles and Kombi.............

Have u a fire plan Kylie......I hope so...:)
At least this time we could contact u other ways than the pit...
Last time it was a worry wondering how u were going.....cos it seemed like months that we didnt hear from u...:)
Yeah, poor bugger - he was away working....fortunately they managed to save his home - but his life times work and passion went up in flames :(

yeah......everyone in town is really on edge.....we had a fire the other night, but they managed to get it under control by the next morning. It was lucky, coz our fire crews are in Kalgoorlie still battling those fires, so a crew had to come from down South for our fire.

I was off here for quite a while last Summer.....by the time we finally got electricity (over 140 power poles were destroyed in the fire) and phone and water back......it took ages to get back to normal. It was like moving house - we'd pretty much moved everything out.
So yeah.....at least some have my mobile number this time - which is good if we have phone service.

Never any need to worry though - even though Glenn and I stayed to defend our property (kids were sent to Mum and Dads in Perth STRAIGHT AWAY!! everyone was given an hour to get out of town, before all roads in and out were closed off).....no way on earth were we going to put ourselves in any danger!!! :)

How's the weather in Newie? Northern NSW and the Goldcoast looked scarey on the news.....it's hard to imagine with the way it is here??

Sydney weather has been pretty good.

Our new house is in northern NSW but luckily the nearest river is the Clarence which doesn't flood as it runs into the ocean. The floods aren't far away though. Those poor people in Lismore.. imagine seeing your house submerged in water with nothing but the roof still visible. :(

That's because you live out in the western suburbs.

Pymble is a nice sunny 25 degrees at the moment.

I swear Pymble has different weather from the rest of Sydney. The other day we were down at Cronulla for lunch, it was warm, blue skies ... just beautiful. Got back to Pymble and it was humid, overcast and drizzling.
