I missed the beginning and caught the last half. I was ticked I missed the beginning....but I saw the best bit - the fat bloated dead man cut open!

Did anyone watch that Jamie Oliver show last night about eating correctly etc? Gunther von Hagens had this massively obese dead man and cut him open and pulled out his insides and examined his organs? Fucking awesome! This fat guy's insides were DISGUSTING....full of yellow fat! Soooo interesting.
I sure did! Had been waiting all week for it.
I also made Steven and Connor sit and watch it with me.
The amount of fruit those two boys ate last night was incredible :D LOL!
    Great show!

I'm a bit worried about watching the next one about chicken  (chicken being my favorite food :( )

They actually thought he was joking until he put it in writing. Now they're negotiating with him re working at home from our house up north because they don't want to lose him. He's a Systems Engineer for a big American internet company and has been there for 8 years.
Are you guys married? Is he looking for a husband??

Give him my Myspace E.K. so we can go on a date....

Yeah we go through tonnes of fruit here.......but, it was good for the kids to see why I don't have cupboards full of crap, like Grandma  I'm sure they just thought I don't buy crap and the only thing to drink in this house is water and milk, because I'm mean  (even though I'VE tried to explain a gazillion times).

if they ever do an aussie version, i will so be applying - (i actually applied for the aussie version of survivor when that was on years ago :o )

trouble is, for such an ordinarily laid back person, i am so damned competitive when you throw me into something like that, and i get so bossy and demanding - good for getting things done ... bad for pissing off anyone who doesnt like being told what to do :p
But hell - what an experience that show would be - even if you got eliminated halfway in - just the things you'd do and see would be enough of a payout for me

the oxfam thing looks ok - take lots of giant bandaids ;)

oh im not too strict - we have takeaway, and chips and snack bars for school, but i guess we offset it by being pretty active and eating a lot of fruit, and veges or salad every night with our tea - and i try to cook things healthy too.

jay and riley are already amazed at the way some adults can let themselves get to such an unhealthy state (and their kids too)

I missed the beginning of that Jamie Oliver show. Did they go through exactly what you should be eating for each meal etc? I saw a packet of Special K on the table and I eat that for breakfast nearly every day. Did they say Special K is good or bad?

:D they go thru one of those giant tins of milo ever fortnight with milk!!! i dont know how they drink so much of it!

and water in their school bottles - or sugar free cordial if they ask, but mostly they like just the plain water

the only weakness is a can of softdrink with t if the cubes have been on special that week at the supermarket - and i have to fess up that one of my all time addictions is creaming soda ... ive gave up smoking, but im damned if i can give that stuff up - so i try not to have it in the house very much. When it is i'll even wake up in the middle of the night and go out and have a swig :o - i just cant resist it...

Bad.......that was the bit where they were talking about how much food has changed over the years and how so many of the foods we were taught to believe were healthy when we were growing up, ARE NOT any more....Special K was one of them....it's full of sugar.
