Thanks buddy, I was obsessed for years. Not so much now, have chilled on the collecting vinyl. Couldn't get enough as a kid and DJ'd for a lot of years, Old School Hip Hop, Electro and Funk. They are all the same thing essentially.Van '98, Sea I+II '00, Sea '01, Sea II '02, Van '03, Gorge, Van, Cal, Edm '05, Bos I+II, Phi I+II, DC, SF II+III, Port, Gorge I+II '06, DC, NY I+II '08, Sea I+II, Van, Ridge , LA III+IV' 09, Indy '10, Cal, Van '11, Lond, Van, Sea '13, Memphis '14, RRHOF '17, Sea I+II '18, Van I+II, Vegas I+II, Sea I+II '240

I disagree, I think kanye is a dope producer, but that doesn't make him a great rapper. Heis not the definition of hip hop and that's what I think confuses people on what hip hop is.
KRS-ONE nails this GREAT stuff on Kanye West in this interview, backs up your point and in general, what hiphop heads feel about Kanye.

Old school hip hop is all I listened to back in High School.
I have a small collection on CD (approx 30 CD's), no vinyls.
My bro in law introduced me to old school so I listened to what he recommended/listened to.
Then when I got the net I discovered punk and then other rock genres.
I have recently dusted off my hip hop collection after almost a decade of neglect, still sounds fresh 8-)Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140
