What album is that on?
its not on an album, it's on the Sound of the Police 12" single. The Ultimate B-Side, if you ask me.
That track is large. I have the single in my collection and played it A LOT. Right at the part where KRS goes, if my train goes off the track...., I would mix in the Black Sheep Single, and for a second you would hear KRS and Black Sheep saying the exact same thing, and I would then slam the fader over on ....pick it up pick it up pick up BACK. to Black Sheep and that was the mix! It was killer.Van '98, Sea I+II '00, Sea '01, Sea II '02, Van '03, Gorge, Van, Cal, Edm '05, Bos I+II, Phi I+II, DC, SF II+III, Port, Gorge I+II '06, DC, NY I+II '08, Sea I+II, Van, Ridge , LA III+IV' 09, Indy '10, Cal, Van '11, Lond, Van, Sea '13, Memphis '14, RRHOF '17, Sea I+II '18, Van I+II, Vegas I+II, Sea I+II '240 -
You guys hearda Freddie Foxxx aka Bumpy Knuckles?
He's one of the most respected and hardest underground rappers. It took YEARS for him to finally get a solo debut out, but in the Golden Age he made many great guest appearances. (Hot Potato - naughty by nature, Ruff Ruff - BDP)
Here is him solo, shakin down the industry

and here he is with Gangstarr on the Classic Militia track:

This next jam is quite violent, but I always tell people they should treat gangsta rap like a movie, and let the story entertain you. Some people love watching American Gangster or The Departed, but then listen to rap and think the violence is stupid. It's all entertainment.
Prior to this song, Scarface was known as Akshen on the early Geto Boys stuff, but after this song, he took the moniker Scarface. Such a wicked song, with a great gangsta story. Some Crazy shit happens in it. If you like it, I HIGHLY recommend the Geto Boys classic 1990 album: GRIP IT! On that Other Level. It is so damn good.
Enjoy

Blue Scholars!!! I cant believe they're getting some love!!! They totally deserve it. Bayani is badass. Im starting to work my way through their back catalog.
Rap today is certainly not what it used to be. We're all hooked to the classics. But its hard to find current rap/hip hop that is consistently good. These days im more into "underground" hip-hop. Shit that doesn't get radio play. Forget the auto-tune and all that bling bling bullshit. I wanna hear some hot beats and good lyrics. None of this mainstream kid rap bullshit.
I cannot say enough about Talib Kweli on his own or as Black Starr or Reflection Eternal. DJ Hi-Tek is the man!!! The newest Reflection Eternal album from last year, Revolutions per Minute is by far one of my favorite albums from last year, and high up on my list of all time favorites.
Ballad of the Black Gold: http://youtu.be/phzHbzMu7E4
Also...for any females, or guys who don't mind listening to female rap, check out Jean Grae. She's on the Blacksmith Label (w/ Talib Kweli) and she is fucking insane! She's got a whole shit load of music out there...I saw her in '07 with Kweli, Mos Def, Common and Pharaoh Monch. She was unbelievable. I highly recommend The Evil Jeanius and Jeanius.
Anyone here thinking about going to Rock Tha Bells this year? Pretty bad ass line up. okay, this song is one of my favourties of all time. You wont realize how genius the lyrics and lyric structure are until you memorize it and try to rap along with it. Infectious bass line too.
