    Hey there Suz :D

    It's a long story....but to tell it REALLY quickly (gotta go get tea)
    the school got a school psych down from the education dept to assess Connor (both the boys are real smarties - I think they gave us someone elses babies at birth ;) )and after spending a few days with him rang me and said that she was really blown away and she's going to work with the school on how to teach him, so that he doesn't get bored etc; But they said Steven's the same and strongly recommend that I get them into this College that is for gifted kids. I've looked into it and it looks great! The teachers are specifically trained to teach these kids.....to ensure they reach their full potential etc;
    So....this college is on the coast (YEY!!!!) so we're hoping to sell up and move there by the end of next year :D I'm wrapped!!!! Maddi and I went there today (Secret Harbour, where the college is) and it's such a beautiful place - great surfing beaches!!

    Thanks Suz, but the credit has to go to all of you people for getting behind the petition, and to Andrew for actually sorting out the petition from a crazy passing thought by myself, to an organised movement :)

    Something tells me Im in for a fun filled weekend this coming. Keep the current sydney weather (fuck its hot in a suit) and improve the surf and Ill be happy.

    Hi EK - hope you are feeling a little better mate

    It's hotter in boring old Pymble too. No beach or lake nearby either. :(

    Thanks. It's been 3 weeks now. We have all of her belongings at our place. I keep thinking we are just minding it all for her until she gets back from a long holiday or something. :(

    What will you be doing with her things? sounds like you don't want them there. Might be an idea to do something with them as soon as possible to help you all out. You've probably already realised that though.... are we allowed to make fun of you yet? :) I'm like bursting over here! :D

    Most of her stuff is in the garage .. we are keeping the furniture and valuables but not sure what to do with all of her clothes, handbags and shoes .. she had more than I've got. :eek:

    Am home alone tonight too. My guy has gone away for one night to check out our new house on the north coast. :o

  • Good Morning everyone :)

    Hey EK.....been thinking bout you heaps Hun. Takes a while to sink in, doesn't it :( Especially if it's unexpected. We have lost a few family members over the last couple of years, the most recent being my Gran, last December......she practically raised me and I still haven't really clicked that she's gone. I think the fact that my whole family just crumbled when it happened and I had to be strong for them, doesn't help - I never really grieved.

    As for all of her clothes etc; have you thought of maybe donating them to somewhere? I'm not sure what's over there, but maybe a womens shelter or the Red Cross or something? The sooner you deal with that, the sooner you can try to start healing.

    Hope you're going to be OK alone tonight....can you get a friend over to keep you company? OR....maybe some alone time will be good for you?
    Could you go with your man.....could be nice for you to see your beautiful new home - something positive.

    I can imagine you're both having a lot of 'down' days, but I hope you're managing to have some good days as well.

    It certainly was unexpected .. I don't think we're really grieving yet.. still in the shock and disbelief stage. She was about to buy her own place and retire soon .. she had so much to look forward to .. it's so unfair. We keep expecting her to call and she doesn't. She probably would have loved her funeral .. she was a very popular lady and it was a great tribute to her. Christmas is going to suck this year. Am going to put all the clothes etc. in the cupboards for now.

    Couldn't go with my man up north ... have all the pets to look after.
