My favourite is a steak sandwich with the following:

    Nice crusty thick bread
Has to be eye-fillet steak (tenderised) with a bit of olive oil and lemon juice (salt and pepper) grilled.
Mix butter with garlic and chives (both fresh)
Spread on bread and put lettuce and spring onion in it.

Sooooooooo nice, really simple but the best steak sandwich! :D:D

i'm assuming you've never been to the great city of philadelphia, right?

    I do a good Bruschetta-inspired sambo:
Fresh french baguette cut on a bias and lightly buttered
    Homemade pesto
    Fresh sliced buffalo mozzerella
    Thinly sliced tomato
    Very thinly sliced red onion
throw that baby on the panini press or cook in the skillet
couple with a glass of vino

My favorite sandwich is a vegetarian pita from a place called 'Greek Delights' in Montclair, NJ. And, for dessert, I get one piece of the best baklava ever from 'Beyond Pita', also in Montclair.

Now, who wants to start a PIZZA thread ~ asking how everyone likes theirs? :)

you must try it! sooo good and simple to make. Biggest pain in the ass is breaking out the food processor to make the pesto. You could always just use whole basil leaves or buy store bought pesto instead.

I have been rocking the chicken salad on 9-grain with green leaf lettuce, tomato, and provolone, with a little mayo.
  • Dunno if anyone's heard of it but there's a sandwich shop called PENN STATION that is unbelievably good.

It's only in a few states....Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, I believe. They make a mean Italian. www.penn-station.com
