Not sure I believe that most companies know what they will be doing with benefits 3 years from now.

I don't really think that this is a much different result than if you asked each of these employers, "If the costs of benefits keep rising at the current rate, will you be likely to stop offering benefits in three years?"

Hell, if all they will have to pay is a $2,000 penalty per employee, I'm surprised the number isn't higher. The average annual premiums in 2010 are $5,049 for single coverage and $13,770 for family coverage.

The health insurance system is a disaster... Obama's plan didn't do anything to help it, but it can't make it any worse. The only people winning under the current system or Obama's are the health care & health insurance industries.

I just got a letter in the mail yesterday asking me to be part of a class action lawsuit aginst Farmers for the amount of $54 million or something like that but my end of the settlement would be $2.47, think I'll sigh and take the check just to stick it to Farmers, they got nailed for over charging for admin fee's or something like that.

    Godfather.

In all honesty, I don't understand. Why would you want to stick it to a farmer ?

ain't you seen the farmers daughter son ?...or dosen't she interest you ?:lol::lol:

And that's all I got to say.

you have some deep rooted issue's don't you...well I don't see how you could not, I am sorry for you.

How can I take this report or study as having any shred of credibility when they refer to the legislation as ObamaCare right in the title of the article?

In fairness, it's Fox News who put ObamaCare in there. I looked up McKinsey & Company, who did the survey, and they seem like a pretty well respected management consultant company. Of course, Fox probably cherry picked data and threw in the token, partisan "ObamaCare" a couple of times to inflame their base.

to me it just makes the reading or listining more interaining, and that's probably true with most FOX listeners, which is probably a ratings stunt ?

Your mistake is going to FOX for your news. Married With Children and Simpsons are great but how can anybody take the talking heads seriously. Do you believe that Paul Revere rang his bell to tell the British " you anin't takin our guns."?

regardless of age or post number i believe that he asked a very relevent question to prove a point that many fox viewers will believe palin's account of paul revere's ride, in the face of overwhelming facts to prove the opposite is true. it is a fair question...

Gimmi I wouldn't argue that at all I was always told he road from town to town screaming the british are coming I just grow a little tired of the FOX news thing,I may be reading it the wrong way but this poster just seems to follow anothers leed to post in a dis-respectful way towards me so I play the game right back at em,
I can go into a topic and and agree or disagree with out being disrespectful..or I try anyway. :D
I don't have any ill feeling towards anybody on here to me it's just back and forth rambling that in the end of the day means very little me but also this is a good place to learn sometimes.

In your personal opinion... why do you think it is 'ugly'? What are the processes that kick in that makes you come to this conclusion?

rising cost, rising tax's people that can't afford it that kind of stuff, mine is costing me $73 or so dollars a week as it is and I am good with at for now but it sounds like under obama that thing's will just start costing more for people in my situation, hay if it can get it cheaper with the same coverage I'm in.
what am I missing here or misunderstand Cosmo ? I know you have the right info so lets have it.

I was wondering... what part of the posted report did you think was 'ugly'? I didn't register to the source article... and could, therefore, not form a fully thought out opinion. I was just wondering, had you read the refreenced article... and what in that article makes it appear as 'ugly' to you?
Or are you just going on the FOX News' interpretation and spin on the article?

    See it's not like that.

If everyone has coverage, that means that everyone gets preventative coverage. It means that you and I don't have to foot the bill in taxes when people get very sick but have no coverage and call an ambulance to take them to the emergency room. Costs would lower right there.

I've seen people get in an accident through no fault of their own but they don't have health coverage and there's no one to sue for it (as is the American Way, sadly). Those people are ruined... often losing their jobs and unable to pay for the health care or therapy that they need. We end up paying in the end for that, too.

If everyone had coverage, being in a random accident or getting a random illness doesn't have to end your life. Literally, too... if you have coverage, you could get life-saving care. I'm not talking about emergency room care, I mean "if you have no coverage and get pneumonia, you just die... if you do, you stand a much better chance of living."

I'm sick and tired of driving past the Staples Center and seeing families lined up around the block for the mobile healthcare clinics.. Like they have in Somalia. This is America, for fuck's sake... we should at the very least not create a peasant class.

Oh... and with "Nobamacare" the insurance company can no longer take your money until you get sick and then tell you that they "just discovered" a pre-existing condition like acne when you were a teenager (and don't laugh.. that's happened a few times).

Trust me.. you're much better off than you were before.
  • And one last thing...

I get really tired of hearing people of the Tea Party whining about how "I don't want to have to pay for anyone else's care."

News Flash, Sarah... you already are.

Where do you think the money comes from when people go in for emergency care and can't pay for it?

What's funnier is that they're often saying this while attending rallies in public parks after taking the bus to get there.
