thanks everyone for the kind words of support for JB and I.

They helped a lot.

It's very quiet here....

The last few days we realized just how much Charlie Boy was running the show,
miss his barking and heavy breathing here next to me.

I want to send a pretty picture to imagine....
It is the last image I am choosing to remember of my Charlie.

On the way to the vet Sat am JB held Charlie in the back of the jeep with the window down.

The sunlight lite up his slender white face and cloudy eyes.
His velvet soft golden ears blew in the breeze and his tongue hung out with a big doggie smile.

I will never forget that image, never forget him, he was one special guy.

it said...

'next weekend you will be doing something unique and fun!'

I took this as doggie heaven and romping with his good friend Jake...
I will someday see them both again. I love them so dang much, I got to!

I know what you mean.. Ace used to stick his head out the window with his mouth open, so that his fluffy little cheeks poofed out and he looked like a bear..It's the last thing I remembered [of] taking him that Oct morning last year..It was so weird to look into the back seat and not see him there on the way home.And even though he was a total pain in my ass, I so miss him.. more than I thought I would. I always thought I'd miss Momo more than Ace seeings how Momo traveled all over the western United States with me while I followed PJ around for just under two years.. but I got really attached to Ace in the year I had alone with him after Momo passed away. You will never forget your Charlie dog..No more than he ever forgot you. I'm so glad you are here with us, where you're not having to worry if people think you're weird for being so attached to your dogs..As dog people we will always get that about each other!R.I.P. Charlie, even WE miss you little guy!

Wonderful, I have tears in my eyes. But I love the idea of your Charlie meeting my Ernst and Keiko and all our other fabulous and very loved dogs running around together. Doggy heaven must be amazing.

So the rain let up and the sun came out, so i took Sophie for a ride, well she got truck sick

. Infact she got truck sick three different times, that i tried taking her for a ride. I hope it is an inner ear thing that is still developing and will go away. She has had no problem riding in the truck untill now.

It occurred to me how much dogs do for us ..

I think it's a puppy thing. I've had more than one dog that got carsick when they were puppies but eventually grew out of it.
