Hi Kasey :-h . My dog is a fiend with rawhide, bones, anything that can be chewed. Keeps their teeth clean!! And she will play fetch endlessly - at least the part where she runs after the ball, getting it back is a bit more tricky. Enjoy her (I'm assuming her). She's a pretty dog.

:-h hello Njnancy. Gorgeous photos of Chelsea.

We had a scare last night, found a tick on Daisy our youngest Border collie. She is ok this morning, so fingers crossed we got it off in time. Such a stressful night making sure she was ok.

And here's a short video (56 seconds) of Chelsea playing in the backyard. I've filled the holes she made that day and put down grass seed. We'll see how that goes. Ignore the finger (like I just learned how to use a camera 8-| , and the disembodied voice.)
Seems the only way I can get a video to post is to connect to my FB page, so if you are so inclined, go ahead and click.

I'm glad you found it! I once found a tick in Guinness's head, yes her head (gunness is my dog before Chelsea). Used tweezers to pull it out - and, ugh, it was two ticks mating. Oh, the imagery is vivid to this day!
Chelsea thanks you for the compliment! We live in a VERY overpopulated area, so I'm happy to have a backyard at all - no matter what size! If it hadn't been hazy that day - you would have seen the NYC skyline behind Chelsea in the beginning.
I just realized that if you're not my FB friend - you won't be able to see the video. And I don't make anything public, custody & civil proceedings - don't want evil assholes seeing my stuff, no matter how benign. If you were able to see it, let me know. I'll have to figure out another way.
And Hello back to you Natashapearljamfan! :-h :bz

Love these! Nothing like the way dogs can enjoy life with such total abandon.

I was able to watch your video and I'm not even on Facebook. Chelsea is really cute. :D

After a lot of research, I've finally ordered new tags for my shelties. I almost went with the Cody-approved ones, until I found these:

I love this dog! My last dog ignored all my commands and would stand on whatever she wanted - I gave up cause she was just too much fun. Is Sophie waiting for the mailman?? Or someone to come home?

I love this design - you're gonna have some rockin' shelties! I just go with the tag from town that I get when I register Chelsea (those years that I remember to do so).

Piper (I typed pooper, but corrected it [-X ) is absolutely adorable,no matter what picture you post. Is she an Australian Border Collie?? I love them - one won the Westminster Dog Show about 2 or 3 years ago? I'm looking at her paws and it seems she is going to do a bit of growing. I hope she takes her time; puppy pictures are so precious.

she's still actually pretty small. we are going to the vet this afternoon (for shots), so I will get an actual weight. I'd guess around 10 lbs.

Nancy - she's an Australian shepherd.. i think she will grow up to be 35-40 lbs. she can be a little pistol but I too love the puppyhood.

That's a beautiful dog, it's what i was thinking of but mangled the breed. 35-40 pounds is a great size, though i think you may be on the low side. Glad she's a pistol; that's what's great about having a dog! It was the National Dog Show I was thinking of & it WAS an Australian Shepherd (I started watching because it's after the Macy's parade on Thanksgiving & got hooked). I was so happy they picked this dog; it's the only winner I remember. It was 2007.

    Australian Shepherd - Swizzle
Breaking away from the herd of seven group winners, an Australian Shepherd named "Swizzle" took top honors at the Kennel Club of Philadelphia Dog Shows' Saturday event. Registered with the American Kennel Club by the CH. Buff Cap Cresland Arctionist, Swizzle won his breed and the herding group to qualify for Best in Show.Swizzle is owned by Nancy Gagnon of Stafford, CT. She emerged as the winner after a full day that saw judges determine more than 150 breed winners, then seven group winners who ultimately competed for the Best in Show title.

^^^^^ that's awesome because we used to always bitch that our Goldens never could win best of shows...it would always be some poodle with that obscene haircut.

Piper got a clean bill of health today and surprised me that she's almost doubled her weight since our last visit....7.6 to 14 lbs :D Last light she met her first adult dog other than her kin. Sandy wasn't too impressed but Piper did manage a little paw-to-paw contact. :x

Piper would like to be able to ride up front! It's not happening. [-X

    photo IMG_0416_zpse17894c3.jpg

last night, she was all fired up...apparently she leapt onto the couch (frowned upon), went up and over and off the top to the other side. she'll do well in agility.

I second norm. She's posing for her shot, for crying out loud!! I didn't think it could get better than her hedgehog fur ball stage - but, damn, she begs to be hugged. (BTW check out her paws - I could be wrong, it's happened, but I think she's going to be a big girl. Just think how much cuteness she'll exude when she's 50 pounds.) Hi Piper! :x :-h

BTW - what's the thingie you have in the car - is that to keep her in the back (looks like bungie cord wrapped around holding something onto the driver's seat?)
