Anyone have any idea if they are going to do this again? I was a big fan in '09 when I could buy my Toronto poster before the show. Saves having to get in there asap and worrying about keeping it safe all show.

I would be estatic if they did this. I don't know why they wouldn't do it for every tour. It should be done before every show that way everyone who wants one gets one. I'm sick of seeing the vendors allowing people to buy 4 when they are only allowed one. It would eliminate a ton of congestion at the merch tables as well.

I don't like the everyone who wants one part. Just 10C members with a ticket to the show should get the pre-sale, the rest being a free-for-all at the shows.

That's what I meant. Only members who secured tickets have the opportunity(1 per member). If there are leftovers, people can order them at a later date.
I like this poster pre-sale, but I think 10C staff had enough of pre-sale for a while!

It doesn't even have to be a pre-sale, just give us the opportunity to get one later. It saves us from wasting an hour of our time standing in line only to see the last poster be bought in front of you buy a guy who was allowed to buy 4 for some reason.
Doing this in 2009 was awesome. I hate carrying around a poster for a regular show, but keeping up with one for an entire day (especially if it rains) would be a major pain in the ass.

I concur.
Oh please, let it rain today, this city's so filthy, like my mind in ways . . .
They should print a poster for every ticket they sell-
I'm sure most people are going to want a poster... and also a t-shirt.
That would be awesome if the people at the booths actually sold 1 per person. I've yet to see it ant any of the last 3 shows I've been to. I saw people selling MSG2 posters on the streets outside the arena before the gates opened, so how does that work?
Who really wants to carry a poster around Alpine Valley for 9 or 10 hours each day?

I know how it works, and it was complete bs. The concession at MSG is set up outside the doors to get in. It's horrible. '08 night 1 was a complete clusterf___ because of this.

Same here! I really loved what they did for the '09 tour. I hope they bring that back this time around this September for Canada!

Please please pretty please, 10c??? Sure, there's some sentimental value to actually picking it up at the show... but I don't know if I want a full day's worth of beer, mud, rain, sweat, creases, tears, folds, footprints, etc adds to that sentimentality enough.
santos advised on AET that they would not be doing this again.

You could make the case that the poster pre-sale was the best idea this fanclub has had in the last ten years. There was literally no downside, at least none that I can think of. It virtually eliminated a big, big problem for members. We didn't have to either worry about getting one nor did we have to worry about keeping it safe, plus I would think it helped them to determine demand.
I'm pretty sure that Alpine Valley has one large merchandise stand that is accessible from inside the facility but also from outside the facility. There are other merch stands as well, but I am almost positive that one of the stands allows you to purchase items while still standing in the parking lot. Lord knows our luck would have them close off that side for PJ20, but I know they have done this at other Alpine Valley shows. It isn't as good as a presale shipped to your house, but it would certainly help everyone out to buy their stuff then walk it back to their cars. Something to look for come Labor Day.

Bullshit! Did they say why not?
Might have something to do with the fact that they still have many of the posters still in stock 2 years later...I don't mind getting to the venue early...but who wants to carry a poster around.
We preordered in 2009...loved it! Wish I could do it again...please...

I didn't get to preorder the spectrum posters. The online sale for them was after. It's not my fault they made a million copies of terrible posters for the spectrum.
