Will the vinyl be available elsewhere?

Is the songbook the only item exlusive to 10c?

The vinyl will be available in record stores worldwide according to an earlier post.

any news on a european release of Water on the Road? or is it US release only?

The Water on the Road DVDfrom 10C is NTSC and region 0 so it will be playable in all dvd players, worldwide. I don't know about the NTSC / PAL issue with blue-rays but when we buy the DVD as a NTSC it will be played at the correct speed and pitch but if we buy a PAL version it will be slightly faster and higher pitched.

    Phew!

Went to order the Songbook last night, but was gutted to see that it was out of stock. Thought I'd missed the boat because of my hesitation about deciding what versions of the Uke Songs to order, and where to order from.

Thankfully it's back up today, so no more dithering about.... got my 10C order in!

Quick heads up to my fellow UK based fans... Water on the Road has finally showed up on some British based websites - Play.com and Amazon.co.uk on both DVD and Blu-Ray.

Blu-Ray seems to be quite a good price on Amazon at £13.99 compared to £17.99 on play, so I've got my preorder in, just in case they raise the price between now and the release date. Can always be cancelled if I decide to order from elsewhere.

The regular DVD is cheaper on play at 10.99 compared to £12.70 on Amazon.

The release date says 30th May for both the DVD and Blu-Ray on both sites, although I'm fully expecting the Blu-Ray release date to get pushed back the same as our friends stateside.

I don't know if it's been said or not but for all the shitting on the 10c this place likes to do, they pretty much nailed this release.

The pre-sale came a month prior to the release, the items are available in every format, they've pre-warned buyers about release dates on certain items, and they've even made alternate versions of the release to appeal to those who want a little something extra.

I'm not kissing ass or anything, I just want to say that despite what all the haters on here might say, they got this one right.

According to Amazon, Water on the Road is just 65 minutes long. Doesn't seem quite long enough to fit in full versions of all those songs, does it? Although I know many of the ItW songs are very short.

I didn't realize Amazon was gospel. I highly doubt this blu-ray is only 65 minutes.

I bet the concet will look great --

    BUT

It would have looked so beutiful shot on film. Super8/16 or 35. Would have really have fit the accoustic shows.

    Yep.

How do you know that it wasn't shot in film? Did they mention it on the show this week?

Yeah, they gave a lot of lot of detail about the DVD this week - I forget the details they said about the shooting, but pretty sure it was all digital very HD.

Worth listening to the recording if you are interested in the details - I haven't seen much discussion of this here yet. I would summarise, but I have already forgotten a lot of facts - like which show they drew from, it was practically all from night 2 of *somewhere*  ;)

Am waiting to see if the vinyl shows up at What Records - and will probably get the CD from my local record shop. Nothing against the 10C, but I just get impatient waiting for things to fly across the Atlantic, and I like to get my vinyl from a UK supplier in case of any problems. Really really looking forward to hearing the music though!! :D

That's what made my choice still uncertain until now... but I guess I'll opt for that, too.
Besides, I'd like to be able to listen to it as soon as I can!

Yeah, I'm not convinced preordering is that smart an idea for international customers myself. I want to be hearing that sucker as soon as possible!

What Records are currently selling the Vitalogy and Vs vinyl reissues, which I still haven't heard yet :?

There's only a finite amount of hours in the day, and money in the bank this year - and I haven't felt starved of PJ so far! The Eddie solo I definitely want to hear as soon as I can though

But what if the vinyl is only available through ten club... I can't find any info after 2 hours of reading this shit!

Finally, the weekend, where I have time to sit down and decide what to order, from where, and how to bundle it for speed of delivery at a reasonable price.

Very excited about the record though!

I'm thinking not? I just pre-ordered the 'Hardback Book' version from Amazon.ca for 24.99. I'm taking a wild guess that this is the songbook.

It was shot using Panasonic cams in HD (But I thought that Panasonics format DVCPROHD could only shoot 1440x1080? So not full HD. Could be wrong though). And watching that clip on youtube of one of the songs it's also pretty obvious it was shot on video.

Fuck I preordered the songbook on here for 40 dollars. could get it for 30 on amazon. Is it possible to cancel a preorder here? Rather get it for cheaper on amazon. Waiting for them to get the vinyl too.

Would love to have the DVD content in an audio CD format to listen to in the car or put on the ipod. Is this possible, or even legal? Anyone?
