  • So Region 0 means any region and will play on the majority if not all DVD players?
Region 0 means reason code free.
So it plays on every player worldwide.

Strange that they didn't mention any dvd/blue-ray bonus songs.

It's a surprised. If you want to know the bonus tracks, check the following link:

    :)

    You claim that it's a surprise. I e-mailed 10Club and here's what they answered:

    Quote:
    There are no bonus tracks.

    Hi again,

Can you please give me an answer about the two bonus tracks (Aatw and
Blackbird)? Are they available on the blue-ray only or also on the dvd?

    end of quote

Maybe we'll find out in June... If they include bonus tracks on some Canadian version or any other blue-ray I really think they should include the same bonus tracks on the dvd.

Maybe why the Bluray release is delayed. Might not include those 2 bonus tracks now. :| On AET I could of sworn Tim said something for those who buy from the box stores you would get something exclusive, like an added bonus goodies.

He said the Blu-Ray will be available as an exclusive from a big box retailer (most likely Best Buy, but could be Target, too). Probably on the Ukulele Songs release date, as Tim said we could buy it before the 10C ships their copies at the end of June. Will it have bonus tracks? We shall see...

Can't wait to see what they have in store. If exclusive, hopefully it won't be Target cause there are no stores up here in Canada, well in the East Coast of Canada. If exclusive only, please use Best Buy and please don't make it exclusive to USA. The Vs. Vitalogy CD/T-shirt box set's are only exclusive to Best Buy USA, not for Best Buy Canada. Plus their website doesn't ship to Canada, just like Target. :(

I just got an email from Amazon saying the release date for the blu ray is pushed back and I should expect to receive it between June 5 - 11. Go into the blu ray info page and it says release date June 28.

Will the vinyl be available elsewhere?

Is the songbook the only item exlusive to 10c?

Why are the Songbook and the Blu-Ray WOTR being released a month later than the regular CD and DVD versions? They could have at least give a free MP3 download of the album with the Songbook pre-orders and/or a movie download of WOTR on the May release date.

the songbook contains music charts, lyrics and uke tips - so i think there will be tabs/charts/chords included for the songs.

    It's available in Canada @ http://www.amazon.ca/Water-Road-Blu-ray ... 761&sr=8-2 . Still not showing up over @ BestBuy.ca.

I just hope it's not another exclusive Best Buy USA release like their Vs/Vitalogy T-Shirt/CD Box Set's.

Best Buy has something written on their picture for the WOTR Blu-Ray... Can anyone figure out what it says? Wonder if there's some kind of exclusive...

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder to release ukulele solo album

Move over George Formby – the Pearl Jam frontman has announced his second solo album, Ukulele Songs, is out in May

Grunge legend Eddie Vedder has announced he will release a ukulele solo album. The Pearl Jam frontman will follow in the footsteps of Tiny Tim, George Formby and Amanda Palmer, releasing a collection of original songs (and three covers) performed on a teeny-tiny acoustic guitar.

Cat Power and Glen Hansard guest on the aptly named Ukulele Songs, which will be released 30 May. After nine records with Pearl Jam, it is only Vedder's second solo LP; in 2007 he put out an album's worth of songs for the film Into the Wild. This time, although Vedder's gravelly voice is, as ever, intact, the songs are influenced by Vedder's increasingly frequent solo performances, and the convenience of a guitar that can fit into a hat box.

Alongside 12 originals, Vedder covers the Everly Brothers' Sleepless Nights, the Mamas and the Papas' Dream a Little Dream, uke classic Tonight You Belong To Me, and Pearl Jam's own Can't Keep. One track, Longing to Belong, is out now; it's got Vedder, a jaunty strum, and a bowed cello, for gravitas.

Also due at the end of May is Water on the Road, a live concert DVD with footage from two of Vedder's solo shows in mid-August 2008, in Washington DC. The film was directed by Christoph Green and former Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty, who previously worked together on live DVDs for Wilco and Jeff Tweedy.
