I'd prefer just a HD digital download for my home network (perhaps iTunes will do that?). Never could convince me to buy another physical format for movies like Blu-Ray...
Ashamed to say that I'll probably get both. I absolutely see the difference in quality between the 2 formats, but I really don't want to wait an extra month to see it. Plus, I only have a blu-ray in my living room where the bigger TV is. Regular DVD in the bedroom. So it'll be worth it.

Waiting is the hardest part. Clips will probably show up on YouTube or other viewable sites. Plus during that month of wait, we'll probably walk into a record store, a Walmart or Best Buy anyways and turn to the dark side and pick up a copy, an extra copy. THEN, once the 10club copy comes in the mail, just gift it to a close friend. That's what will probably happen.

I don't buy blu-ray's, I just recently bought my very first one because I finally bought a lap top and it comes with a Blu Ray player!
SO! I bought the DVD so that I can watch it on my TV, and then I got the Blu-Ray because it will look gorgeous I'm sure!

Ten years is a loooong time. DVDs have barely been popular for 10 years. They came out in '97. Blu-ray has already been out since '05.
Besides, the prices have dropped. If your DVD player breaks, just pick up a blu-ray player for $99. It will play all your DVDs even if you never buy a blu-ray disc.
I just got a Blu-Ray for my computer the other day so I'm still working on learning how to rip stuff, but it's easy to rip audio off a DVD, which is what I do with most music DVDs. I'll rip the audio to iTunes and the DVD itself to an iso for my media player and the physical DVD may never see the light of day again.

besides i still play my live bootleg cassette tapes and they sound fine to me and i play vhs bootlegs

Blu-rays are no longer new. They've been around for years. They already are pretty cheap. Nothing wrong with keeping your old stuff, but if you have the option, why not go for the better format when making a new purchase?

The compact disc format has been around for 30 years and has all been backwards compatable. DVD players play CDs. Blu-ray players play DVDs and CDs. It's not leaving any time soon.
I think more and more content will be available online, but like vinyl, the compact disc format is going to be here a heck of a lot longer than 10 years.
blu rays are alot cheaper now too for those saying they are expensive. i remember i payed $700 for my dvd player when they 1st came out and dvds were sold here for around $50. got a blu ray player for a couple hundred but now you can get them under a hundred for cheap brands here. and when i'm buying a disc in an aussie store i don't pay over $30, but some stores still have them higher then that, you just gotta know the cheap stores, but i just ordered a heap from amazon, nothing over $17, most round $10-15, all new release movies, multi disc blu ray/dvd bundle and some came with digital copy as well. that's cheap as.
Difference between the Vinyl booklets and Deluxe Song Book? The LP contains a 44 page lyrics/credits booklet and a 48 page songbook with Chords/lyrics.
Without giving away too many details....The Deluxe song book is Hard bound, 9"x12", 100 pages, and significantly different than the LP/CD inserts.
CD 40 page booklet and LP 44 page booklet, same content . The additional pages are due to the difference in format size.
Difference between the CD version and the CD contain in the songbook: CD in songbook comes in paper sleeve, no inserts, same content.
Vinyl will be available at Indy Retail and International stores in June.
Vinyl is a single LP, 180 gram, Black vinyl, 33rpm. PRESALE ORDERS WILL RECEIVE A DIGITAL MP3 DOWNLOAD LINK SENT VIA EMAIL ON RELEASE DATE.

Don't see nothing listed on the bustbuy.ca site.
You have to sit about 5 feet away from a 40" HD with 20/20 vision to get the full effect of 1080p HD.
To be a nerd here.. Think of a bunch of dots making up the picture..
A standard DVD is 480 x 720 dots, so 345,600 dots make up a DVD picture.
A standard Blu-ray is 1080 x 1920 dots, so 2,073,600 dots make up a Blu-ray picture.
So a Blu-ray is about 6x more dots per the area... Plus Blu-ray gives lossless audio. I think DVD is equivalent to an decent quality mp3.

my mum has got a beta player still in the shed in the original box she wont get rid of it . we give her alot a shit for it lol.
