    Yesterday, my mom & I went to a restaurant for dinner. Before the bill came she told me not to mention that we went out for dinner to my step-dad ... he has these issues with spending money that neither one of us understands ... anyway ... I told her, just to push her buttons, that that would be lying ... She looks at me with the most serious facial expression I've ever seen in this woman, and says, " A woman should never deceive her husband in any way, those women should have never gotten married in the first place ... do they not have any respect for themselves? ... but one little dinner is o.k." I was in the middle of sipping water when she finished stating this and I spit the water all over the table and we just busted out into laughter ... the both of us ... as in the laughter that makes you want to pee your pants and makes your eyes water ... priceless. Then, when I walked into the door of her home she looks at my step-dad without saying hi and says, "we just had a couple of burgers for dinner", looks back over at me with a slight wink and carries on with her evening.

    I love you mom. You are a trooper. Nothing stands your way, ever. A free thinker amongst the best of them.
