Why does Rolling Stone dislike PJ?

Every "list" they do never has PJ in it (okay, top 500 albums, they have 2, but still, they are in the top 250, they had to put them there!)

they like pearl jam. ed was on the cover a year ago or so. and when they were doing their review of "pearl jam", the writer stated that he screwed up by not putting mike and stone in his best guitar players of all time list a few years back. not to mention "pearl jam" was in RS top 50 albums of 2006.

They have been on several Rolling Stone lists, as can be seen here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awards_and_nominations_received_by_Pearl_Jam#Miscellaneous_awards_and_honors

If you think Rolling Stone hates Pearl Jam, you should try Pitchfork Media.

The only thing different about this list is it was voted on by a slew of musicians.

I don't get why Ed was left off either...I always thought he was held in high regards by his peers.

Pitchfork is laughable, their Pearl Jam reviews are just filled with inaccuracies, like I remember reading the review for Riot Act, and the writer was saying that PJ was claiming that Riot Act was going to be their comeback album or something like that, I mean where do you get that from.

    Pitchfork is garbage

RS doesn't hate PJ... they and Ed have been on the cover 4-5 times, right? That's 4-5 times more than most bands...

Pearl Jam should not take any offense.

Rolling Stone is just bad at making lists.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Over the years they have managed to slight just about every musician I respect. Either I have incredibly bad taste or RS is just interested in selling their rag.
