my experience with the 10C

first of all, i didn't try for tickets today. so i won't be bitching. secondly, this is a positive post...so if you don't like that, then don't comment. if you want to call me a kissass, then you failed to read my post. i'm not kissing anyone's ass, but merely telling the truth.

i have nothing to complain about. at all. sure, they've misplaced an order or two of mine in the past, but they always fixed it. it's obvious that they don't have 1000 people on staff to look after every single order. and you know what else? they are human. they are fallible. they screw up from time to time....but don't we all? i know i do.

every single time that i've had a question or concern with an order, a release, my membership.....whatever...they have responded. sure, they can't tell us everything all at once (PJ20, for example)...but that's b/c the details haven't been completely ironed out. and sure, they can't get back to me within 5 minutes of me emailing them, but they do respond.

they've always been polite to me and i can truly say that i think they're always trying to do their best. what more can we ask for??

i can list example after example, but i truly don't think that's needed. i understand that some of you are angry or frustrated.....but there are FAR more important things in this world.

this isn't a lie....i'm not trying to earn a fucking merit badge here, folks. just being honest. this community is an awesome group of people. this community also includes all of the folks that work at the 10C.

Agree - nothing but positive vibes for me. I really do appreciate the hard work and things they bring. I have yet to have a problem and all has been fixed if anything was up.

The only time I've been pissed with the 10C was when I wasn't accepted into the tshirt contest, but I grew up and I learned to live with that, time passed and I couldn't be happier around here, forget about the 10C and enjoy the awesome people like Matt or Dimi, D, Paul, Kevin, Scott... (so many to be counted)who hangs around here and make this place an awesome place to hang out!

Thanks Matt, I think we all need a reminder that 10c is still a small business run by some hard working folks. Santos was in early this morning, preparing for all the madness. I am sure he will be staying late tying up ends.

Just because we all can't see how hard they work doesn't mean they are *not* working. I also have emailed 10c with questions, and have gotten replies back within 24 hours. I have worked with critical time sensitive items that need to get out on a cartain day, and trying to make sure I get 6000 Fed Ex shipments out in 3 days is exhausting.

No, I did NOT get Ed tix...I have never tried to get tix, but have had similar experiences with TM, and it does suck to lose awesome seats because their server crashed, but you can't get everything you want in life.

Be thankful for what you have, some people don't have anything.

I completely agree with you Matt. I've never had a problem with 10c, except tix. I've gotten shut out more times than I can count. Obviously their server can't handle the amount of people. Why have 3 or more shows go on sale at the same time? I won't lie, I am disappointed I didn't get tix, but I look at my wife and son and everything is okay. Do I hate 10c, of course not. Could they do things differently, of course. Alot of people would agree with me. I had tix in my cart and because the servers couldn't handle it my session timed out. I don't mind getting shut out, but not that way. Again I'm fine with this. I'll try when they go on public sale (and fail miserably again), but life goes on.

Thanks Matt for the thread..i have only positive ,good experience with the 10c.aways,even weekend get answer and try always to help me..even i dont like things like time we wait in europe orders to arrive,or at 2009 they didnt let europeans to buy tickets at ev solo shows,thats shitty details to complain...
im here cos of music...cos i have the chance to express my feelings about this great band...and most of all..about this awesome community that wellcome me and my shitty Greekenglish..the one was build from great persons that now is friends for life..the ones here almost every day,try to think positive,help,know to love and share...if i want to go to a show..ill find tickets,even i need to get the world up side down,,this will happen at pj20 even i dont get 10c tix,ill find the way to be in the venue..no matter the cost..cos inside that venue,ill meet and hang with amazing,human beings,that im so lucky to call them friend

this is not a perfect world, I am not perfect, you're not perfect so why in the world a "fan club" has to be PERFECT??? enjoy what you get but remember you're here for one thing the MUSIC without the Pearl Jam Music this place doesn't make any sense... is what get us together, so turn up the volume and enjoy your favorite PJ CD, Vinyl, mp3, cassette and smile!!! even if you want to rip of some people faces

All that really matters is the music and the incredible band that makes it. At the end of the day it's not about the merch or the tickets or selling out.....it's about this band and the music they make for us. A true fan knows that.

Oh and you guys aren't too bad either 8-)

Personally... I am grateful the opportunity even exists for us to get tickets. Try getting Radiohead tickets... they offer pre-sales, but it is open to everyone. The servers might not crash, but the tickets are gone in an instant. There are a lot of bands that have fan clubs and offer tickets... I can't say much about them because i don't belong to them. Most other bands that have pre-sales typically send out passwords to their TwitterNation... which, pretty much means everybody, including the scalpers.
I also understand that this is a mom and pop operation. Which fits because most of the time, a mom or pop can run the store. Ticket sales are anomallies. They do what they can.
Finally, the fact is... if 2,000 people want tickets and only 200 are available... the outcome remains the same... regardless if it is a mom and pop shop or a giant multinational corporation. Only 200 or 2,000 will get tickets.

I have always had positive experiences with the VHC/Ten Club... mostly because I expect what is expected of a small operation.

Hi matt,

Great post and I agree with everything that was written.

I have been complaining this afternoon but I am not pissed at the club or the 10c staff just annoyed at the system. I think the people do the best they can with what they are given. I have also shared correspondence with them via PM and email and they are very friendly and do their best to fix any issue.

I would be mellow about it, but the bands not getting any younger and so there is an underlying pressure. i mean how many more solo ED conecrts are we really gona have a chance at?, i hope i'm wrong, i hope he is as addicted to us as we are to him.
