my experience with the 10C

Overall, I think the 10c does a great job. For venues such as these with EV, its really ahrd to "expect" to get tix.
This new situation irked me, but there are apparently two other opportunities to get these tix.Turn this anger into

but most of all..thank you guys....my friends...

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
ride"!

mfc2006 wrote:first of all, i didn't try for tickets today. so i won't be bitching. secondly, this is a positive post...so if you don't like that, then don't comment. if you want to call me a kissass, then you failed to read my post. i'm not kissing anyone's ass, but merely telling the truth.
i have nothing to complain about. at all. sure, they've misplaced an order or two of mine in the past, but they always fixed it. it's obvious that they don't have 1000 people on staff to look after every single order. and you know what else? they are human. they are fallible. they screw up from time to time....but don't we all? i know i do.
every single time that i've had a question or concern with an order, a release, my membership.....whatever...they have responded. sure, they can't tell us everything all at once (PJ20, for example)...but that's b/c the details haven't been completely ironed out. and sure, they can't get back to me within 5 minutes of me emailing them, but they do respond.
they've always been polite to me and i can truly say that i think they're always trying to do their best. what more can we ask for??
i can list example after example, but i truly don't think that's needed. i understand that some of you are angry or frustrated.....but there are FAR more important things in this world.
this isn't a lie....i'm not trying to earn a fucking merit badge here, folks. just being honest. this community is an awesome group of people. this community also includes all of the folks that work at the 10C.
thanks for reading....
thanks, 10C...
and thank you, Pearl Jam.

Completely agree
I too have had only good experiences with 10c, I can understand the amount of pressure and stress they are under, as well as having to deal with crazed PJ fans
It must be tough
Nice to see some positivity on the board, Nice to take a moment and Just Breathe
Remember why we are all really here - THE MUSIC. Remember how lucky we all are that we can all afford the luxury of being in a band's fan club, be able to see shows, buy music, listen to it as much as we like.thefixer9 wrote:All that really matters is the music and the incredible band that makes it. At the end of the day it's not about the merch or the tickets or selling out.....it's about this band and the music they make for us. A true fan knows that.
Oh and you guys aren't too bad either 8-)
I agree 100% Rico

BUT...its just a fan club. Its for fun. Its to meet up with other like-minded fans. To talk about a band you like. To take your mind of the work that I'm not currently doing
. I'm sure I'll get skewered for this, but in essence, its just not that big of a deal. People get pissy when you point out that there are other important things in the world, but shit, there are.
Also Very True.
Thanks Matt

Yo, you dropped your merit badge kiss ass!

I don't know about you, but I have grown to find all the bitching and moaning amusing. Even I have been known to bitch in the past...but now I have achieved PJ Zen! I am one with the music...it's magnificence shelters me from all negativity! And I know as long as they play there will ALWAYS be a ticket out there for me when I look for it....destiny type shit ya know what I'm saying Matt?!!

Well said Matt! I have encountered the most wonderful people on here and very generous when it came to my fundraiser.
The thing is, I look at someone like Rico who has never been able to see PJ or Eddie. Yesterday he lost out on getting tickets and actually apologized to us!!!! He is one of the youngest members and you didn't hear him bitch and moan once! Good on you mate and good luck for the public sale.
Thanks Matt for a positive thread!

Sure there are a lot of disappointed fans, me being one of them! There is nothing 10c can do to change the laws of economics. It is simple supply vs demand. My props to them for putting up with all this BS0

I agree with everything mentioned by Matt , i've been part of this club since 93 so the incentive for me to stay positive is the rewards of great seats but when you try to score tickets and get shut out is def a bad feeling , so these days i just have someone else do my dirty work

and score them for me ....But anytime that i have had a major problem 10C has stepped up to the plate ... jesus greets me looks just like me ....0 -

Good post Matt. The 10c rocks, and does a helluva lot for their fan club members. For that, I am grateful.
Just wanted to my 2 cents...
I was fortunate enough to get a pair of tix to the Tower show yesterday right before the out of stock message came up. I've been shut out for presales before, and that is fine. I'm a realist, and I understand the demand is greater than the supply, thus some of us will not get 10c seats. No issues there.
What could stand to improve though is the process. Is it really necessary to have to refresh constantly for 90 mins to get tix, or even worse, not get them and feel as if your time was completely wasted. Instead of upgrading servers, which may not be financially feasible, why not have an email lottery? It's been suggested before, that everyone would email their request for a show by a certain date and the 10c would randomly select who gets the tickets. No more refreshing for hours, servers crashing, etc. Maybe this would require a significant amount of manual work to sort through all the requests in lieu of having it automated like it is now. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I know what the question is.
How can the 10c improve the ticket allocation process?"If no one sees you, you're not here at all"0 -

not to kiss ass but this is a great thread.

A 10 Club facilitated ticketing-procedure web survey would be nice. Get some real data re: what fan club members would like to see done with ticketing procedures. Limit each subscriber to a once-through of the survey by entering their membership number so as to eliminate multiple voting habits, which would skew the data.
Benefits of such a survey :
-- 10 C could then make an informed decision on what ticketing process they could implement in the future (resources dependent) and feel good about it, since hopefully, the majority of surveyors felt the same way.
-- 10 C members would feel like they have a voice in the club's operations. Ultimately, all final decisions come down to the 10 C operators and the band, but giving 'the masses' a say goes along way to pleasing most people.
* Everybody knows that securing fanclub tickets for a show or shows is never guaranteed. However, perhaps such a survey gives life to a ticketing procedure that would alleviate people spending hours to secure tickets.
The intentions of this post are to be constructive not negative. Have a good day.0 -
