I hope that some kind and talented soul will make some sort of a matrix/redux version of the complete Boston show using the new audio as a basis along with what was already out there.
My girlfriend just called me saying that my boxset arrived. I am at work...
Funny enough she told me no import taxes were charged by the UPS agent. (Which normally happens in Brazil).
This is the FIRST time in my life I receive something prior to release. FIRST TIME EVER.
Actually this is the first time since the PJ bracelets for Brazil concerts I have something special done by any "company/enterprise".

Screw it. I decided to give up on the super deluxe (Sony won't ship to Israel) and get the deluxe instead. If any one wants to sell me the extras off their super deluxe set, PM me (not interested in the vinyl).
Still can't believe I met Mike Mccready at the Guggenheim and got a pic with him!!!!!
2010: 9/7/10 - Bilbao
2012: 26-27/6/12 - Amsterdam ~~ 29/6/12 - Werchter ~~ 4-5/7/12 - Berlin
2014: 25/6/14 - Vienna ~~ 26/6/14 - Berlin
It's bigger and heavier than the Ten boxset. Comes with a very old guitar pick. hehehehe
Everything looks good... will check the master of the vinyl on my Pro-Ject Debut III on a Yamaha receiver connect to Monitor Audio BX5. Let's see how it compares to the original sound on the Vs Brazil Edition.

good on you for getting it! waiting here in the states. keep us posted on the mastering. i will be interested to hear how it sounds.
Amazed a rip of the orpheum hasn't hit the torrents yet!
Also..surprised no shipping emails yet for north America. C'mon 10 club, I want my boxset! My record player and tape deck are ready!

During AET on PJ Radio today Tim said they will be working all weekend long to have all shipments out as soon as possible. He also apologized for the delay...
Am I the only one shocked that 10club member's across the globe who ordered from Sony have been receiving their box set's already in the mail before anybody in the USA/CDN?
can't wait
wonder when i'll get the deluxe one from 10c, hope it isn't too long
i'm so excited to listen, been laying off vs and vitalogy lately. to build up the anticipation and save it for when i get the cds
also, How do you get the digital tracks? you get a code or something with your cds?

I believe you get a download link by e-mail on release date.
Looking forward to getting mine on Tuesday at Best Buy... no need for the ones with the shirts, I have plenty of PJ shirts and am sure that they'll be Large or XL and that's bit too big for myself!
I am using a Pro-Ject Debut III with a few upgrades. Acrylit-it platter, Ortofon 2M Red and Pro-Ject SpeedBox II. I use a crap Yamaha Receiver RX-V665 on bi-amp with Acoustic Research cables going to my Monitor Audio BX5.
(Sorry to the people that don't care about Hi-Fi)
I warmed it up with the Orpheum Theater Vinyl. It sounds OK. I don't like live vinyls. Don't know why. There is something wrong with me? Maybe. I just don't like it. Gear warmed up.
I have the original Brazil print of Vs. 237.029/1-474549 released by Sony Epic on 1993 and placed it agains't the Reissued Vs. from Sony Legacy 88697843131-jkl. First of all, both sound great. But they are not the same, that's for sure. Differences:
1 - HI JEFF. NICE TO FINALLY HEAR YOU CLEARLY. HAHAHAHA The bottom end on the remaster is more accurate and punchy. Very controlled. SWEET.
2 - The highs are not so in your face. The highs on the old pressing has so much bite that sometimes it sounds unnatural. On the remaster they find are defined and fast. Really nice.
3- Much better sound stage, lots of space between the instruments on each layer. You can really separate you hearing. If you want to use it to learn each song, you can. You can select a musician an pay attention only to his playing. The Epic old pressing sounds more messy and confused.
Again they are not miles way from each other. Bare in mind my brazilian Epic pressing is just tired, overplayed, a little dirty (no clicks and pops)... HAHAHAHA but they don't sound like the same master at all.
I have records with pressing from Brazil and US. No reissues, no remasters. Same age, different country and they don't sound the same. Therefore I am not sure Sony sends the same master all of the world. Maybe the vinyl used on Brazil for pressing in 93 was a not high qaulity. I don't know.
Would love to hear impressions from someone that have the original US 93 Vs. put agains't the reissue.
Bottom line I am HAPPY. Sounds great, great, great.
Little bad stuff: The making of the jackets are not the best. Looks like they rushed thru the production line. Not very well glued, not very well folded. (But hey, I don't really care, I am all about the sound it makes.) Although the records did not came dead flat. My tone arm is dancing on all of them.

Thank you for this review! I neither have Vs. nor Vitalogy on vinyl and thought about getting older copies, but now I'm quite sure I'll be going for the re-issues (they are more affordable also ... strangely enough)
Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!
This is what I was NOT wanting to see in my inbox:
I contacted Sony re: my non-US order of the box set as I have not received the shipping email and as I have been seeing some of these already go out to non-US locations. This is what they told me:
"I am sorry to inform you that your order seems to be stuck in our system. I have forwarded the issue to the concerned department for a review. Unfortunately, while my goal is to answer every question promptly, I will need to escalate your concern for additional information. This will delay my ability to respond. I will get back to you as quickly as I can."
I checked back to my credit card statement and noticed that they have not charged me for the order - strange as I did get the order confirmation and an order number. I suspect this is what they mean by "stuck in the system". Has anyone had a similar issue? How did you resolve it? I would reorder again if they can assure me I won't get charged twice but either way this is now looking like I WON'T be getting this "on or before 29/3".   :? :?
I think I'm gonna have the same issue with Sony as I haven't received email confirmation or had my credit card charged, I'm in New Zealand and it seams my Aussie neighbors have been given emails!!
Im gonna be pissed if I miss out in the pre order downloads due to there muck up!!

What was the sound quality of the ten remaster?
