WOW! i'm impressed with your suggestion,...Hayden is my best friend's 1st cousin and i've had nothing but great times at his shows and hanging out with him. should definitely listen to some of Hayden's material!

That's pretty cool. Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to see him live yet, but I like his entire catalog.

If you're after some acoustic stuff go with the John Frusciante solo albums, Curtains in particular is excellent. Also Liam Finn-I'll Be Lightning and Scott Matthews-Passing Stranger are both pretty cool. The track Elusive by Scott Matthews is brilliant.

As someone else noted, get into Mark Lanagen. All his solo stuff is very good.

Screaming Trees "Dust" album is as good as anything ever released from early 90's Seattle.

Check out Liam Finn's disc "I'll Be Lightning" for sure. I am pretty stoked on it. Narrow Stairs by Death Cab. Then get a little old school and check out Neil Young Decade. You may dig Xavier Rudd...hmmm...this may be obvious but make sure you also spin the second disc of Lost Dogs.

Add Wintersleep to that list. Their new album, "Welcome to the night sky" is quite simply amazing.

I'm currently in the midst of my finals and I like to listen to relaxed music whilst revising. I'm looking for acoustic stuff, very light and chilled, a lot like the song 'Guaranteed' off Ed's solo album.

    Any suggestions would be great!

Newton Faulkner's 'Hand Built By Robots' is chilled rootsy acoustic stuff, some great songs and very chilled.

Shawn Smith's (Brad/Satchel) 'Live at the Point' is awesome and super chilled.

I'm also listening to the Foo's 'Skin & Bones' acoustic album which is nice and Ben Harpers 'Both Sides Of The Gun,' one of the CD's is super chilled and needless to say amazing!

Hope this helps, good luck with the exams.

If you like mellow acoustic music, check out Paul Greene from Australia. He was a college housemate of mine. I am really digging his new album "Distance Over Time". Its kind of a best of with some new songs mixed in. Here is his myspace link: http://www.myspace.com/paulgreene
