Wouldn't have thought that would happen!! Holy crap!!!!
cheers!!!
The capacity of the Fox Theatre is approx 5,000. This is large as far the ed solo shows are concerned. There should more 10c tickets than normal available.
If I had the money I'd consider going just to be at the legendary place that Atlanta 1994 was at.
I just called the Wang Center in Boston and spoke with a woman who said that Ed is scheduled to come there "but something is changing...don't know what." Maybe the date, who knows? I asked about Celtic Thunder and they said that's not coming until the fall.

I am pretty sure they said the 6th. The only reason I didn't post the date initially was because I wasn't positive if they said May 6 or June 6 haha.
I really hope that'ss true... I'm gone the 26th-30th and if he hits the midwest then that would be a huge bummer... that's what I get for planning a trip to avoid the PJ20 festival.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but they are two DIFFERENT Fox Theatres. The legendary 94 show was from the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. The Fox in Detroit is a great theatre to see a show in though. Maybe it could be at the Masonic Theatre, PJ played there in 94.

Isn't there 3 Fox Theaters with one in St. Louis also?

There are Fox Theaters all over the country. Movie houses used to be called by the studio that owned them. Then they passed a law saying that movie studios could no longer own theaters to make it fair for other studios. But the names have persisted. That's why there's a bunch of Paramount Theaters across the country, too.
I think Ed should take a cue from one of his heroes, Tom Waits, and do a PEHSKUJUMBAAH (or whatever it was called) tour... play at least a FEW places where you wouldn't expect a seldomly-touring artist to play (like say, El Paso or even Phoenix, the first two stops on the PEH...tour).
Maybe throw in an Albuquerque or Santa Fe perhaps.

no date given, but the music blogger at the star tribune in minneapolis posted this:
Eddie Vedder will drop his second solo album, "Ukulele Songs," on May 31. Chan Marshall (Cat Power) and Glenn Hansard (Frames, Swell Season) guest. The Pearl Jam frontman will also release a concert DVD, "Water on the Road," and take to the road. Watch for a Twin Cities theater date.
Looks like it's a no-go for SLC...Maybe another time. Enjoy the solo shows everyone! I guess moving from Jersey to Utah has some not so good points. Love it out here anyways. Mahalo!

It's OK to come here.
Thank you
