Stop Bitching About Boots!

You know, instead of coming on here bitching about every detail, be THANKFUL we got Bootlegs. I was missing one disc from one boot in my order, called the phone number attached in the invoice (DIDNT YOU SEE IT?), and spoke with a VERY cool employee and voila! I had the missing disc 2 DAYS LATER! All you fuckers keep bitching, maybe we won't get boots next time around. FUCK OFF!

    No kidding!! Honest to god, the people whining about the boots have clearly never had to scramble 2 weeks after the show, try to scare up a B&P and then get a REALLY crap quality show from someone who doesn't know DAO from TAO.

    Stop complaining. They sound fine, they ARE fine & next winter you'll be grateful.

    And complaints about quality? Must be people who didn't collect boots in the mid 90's. You used to have to pay $30-$50+ for a single show on the Boot Market, the quality of these shows is SIGNIFICANTLY better than 10+ years ago.

    Exactly. I got my boots yesterday and I got MSG Disc 2 instead of Bonnaroo Disc 2. On a "big deal" 1 - 100 scale (100 being the biggest) this ranks as a 3. Basically, the complainers on here are whiny children.

    You got it right! I am so proud and happy to have them! There are flaws but thats why they are boots and thats why I LOVE them! I can't wait to get the rest~!

    Yea, I hear that. Talk about complaing try getting a boot for 20 bucks on TDK tape with a high hiss in the background. That was me in the early 90's....And I was so grateful I had that. Then it moved to MAXELL GOLD tapes god forbid if it wasn't on that and it had to be from DAT board's. Then came cd's.....mp3's. Today we are beyond spoiled and you guys have no idea.

    I must have untrained ears. I listen and I enjoy. I personally like ed up front (loudest). when it's time for the solos to begin, there they are! no complaints here.

    I feel bad for those that judge the mix based on their own standards. You're hearing it the way they meant you to hear it.

    that's always been good enough for me.

    We could be fans of Metallica, U2, Aerosmith, insert name of "big time" band here........

    Then there would be no option of released shows. Till they did their MASTERED and HAND SELECTED, PERFECT WITH NO MISTAKES OR REAL HEART live album.

    Double disc for $29.99 I am sure. With only the "hits" to appeal to the masses.




    Seems like a good idea to love this band......what other bands (I know there are a handful) give you the option of listening to the show you saw for the rest of your life?

    Plenty these days. It's not as uncommon as you think. Browse that kufala site (i think that's the name?) and you will see plenty of other bands with boots.

    Exactly. I have no idea why PJ fans think that PJ is unique in this regard.

    And I never understand people bringing up Metallica as a counter example to make a point about PJ. The parallels between bands are many - good and bad.

    Both bands allowed audience taping. Both bands release high quality official recordings for download. Lars alienated fans by threatening them in the Napster days. Ed alienates fans by having 10C threaten them regarding solo show recordings.

    actually, metallica may have surpassed PJ inbeing unbelievably cool because they provide boots of special shows like the benefit they just did in L.A.

    alot of the complaints were about Cd's getting stuck in car cd players, if you ask me thats a pretty legit complaint, when it looks like someone put together the boots in their basement

    if people want to complain about the "quality" of a product they purchased they have every right too, its not like we got these things for free

    and as mentioned before other bands do bootlegs too with as good quality if not better so get off the high horse

    i didnt complain about the boots and wont as long as the sound quality is better than what i can produce in my house ;)

    I completely agree. Just because the band is selling CDs does not take away our right to expect a good product. However, I wish people could all complain in one thread so the rest of us don't have to see it all day, every day.

    for those who are complaining about "paying for bad quality", they were available for free.
    for those who are complaining about the packaging, what? it said "made to order" before you bought them so what did you expect?

    Me too!! I have all the boots up to msg, but I can't get past West Palm and Tampa... Amazing shows!! Someday I'll get to Bonnaroo....

    i got banned for like 3 days for saying less offense stuff than this (which i was joking abour) did not call people "f-ers" or say "f-off" in all caps with an !
