I fear I'll never see Of The Girl live again...

Why did they bury this song? From the boards I know most people hate it or love it. I know its one of the shorter openers but I think Mike's guitar in the song is insane and a true beauty when played live.
Please bring it back.

    totally agree. i want to see this at a show i'm at someday. one of my favorites from Binaural. I remember i used to turn my discman up sooooooo loud for that song 'cause the bass is so deep it sounds awesome. and then having it on a bunch of my '00 boots was also awesome. i vote they bring it back into regular rotation.

    Ive seen it once, my first ever show- Jones Beach. I was too fresh and inexperienced to be aware of setlist arrangements and things like that and I regret to say I cant recall the feeling from the song the way I can from say...Black in Milan 06 or RVM in Ottawa 05

    Yep saw in Manchester 2000, dont remember thinking it was the best opener

    I heard it at my first show too- 8-20-00 in Cincinnati. I'd been listening to PJ for years, but wasn't aware of the setlist arrangements either. Great song though!

    I agree with that. Never heard it myself live, but, the Benaroya version blows me away.

    Love this song. When picking bootlegs this is the song I searched for. Mike tears it up! Cincinnati 8-20-2000 has a great version!

    Can't Keep bad opener.

    However, Of the Girl probably will become a bigger rarity at shows. They will break it out every once in awhile.

    There was no reason for them to not play it this tour especially. When they had those first bunch of shows with a different opener each show- they shouldve continued that trend. Of the five shows I went to, I didnt need Hard to Imagine 3 of them.

    aren't you from dallas? Why didn't you drive down to the San Antonio show in '03?

    You blew it, mister. Not only would you have seen OTG, you would have seen what, to this date, is still the best show I've ever seen.

    Yeah, from Dallas. I had to miss the Texas shows (except Dallas) because of work. The Dallas show was nowhere close to the other Texas shows in the tour schedule that year.

    I listen to that SA boot a lot though.

    Actually, I had to miss two of the four (yes, four) Texas shows on the 2000 tour for work. Pissed me off. If I had to do it over, I would have finagled a way out of it, with a well-placed lie. Ah well ...
