loans are one thing...since the borrower has to pay them back. grants are anouther. if they don't need the money for school, they shouldn't take it. grants are designed to help the less fortunate better themselves. if you have enough left over to fund a concert weekend, than imo, you shouldn't have recieved the grant in the first place.
as for stimulating the economy, feel free to put my tax dollars back in my pocketbook. i'd be happy to spend my money on goods and services.

you're completely right it was all my fault, but i didn't realize the words "pell grant" would cause so much uproar.

I'll disagree with this, as a student loan reciever. Student loans are based on a set amount for living expenses for school. If i live in a shit hole for 4 months eating canned soup and save 1000 for a concert then i deserve it. But if i never got a grant i wouldn't be able to afford school.

thanks yeah i realized a long time ago that people are petty, especially when bono broke his back and nearly got paralyzed and everyone was like "fuck him he deserved it" thats pretty much when i knew this place can be pretty soulless. i mean you don't have to like the guy but you don't act like that. i don't like the lead singer of train and think he's a big douche but if he broke his back i would wish him well.
