“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

I kinda feel bad that Ed didn't get "around" to helping out Jeff.

"We have five or six almost finished instrumental beds, and maybe 15 other things from which we could definitely get three or four songs out of," Ament says. "Hopefully sometime this winter we will knock a record out. The goal is to know the songs front to back before we actually record them, which we haven't always done."

    THIS WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!
    2008 - MSG 6/24-6/25
    2010 - Newark 5/18 MSG 5/21
    2011 - PJ20 9/3-9/4
    2012 - MIA Festival 9/2
    2013 - Wrigley Field 7/19 Brooklyn 10/18-10/19 Philly 10/22
    2015 - Colbert show - 9/23 Global Citizens Festival 9/26
    2016 - Philly 4/28-4/29 MSG 5/1-5/2

One "Tone" track, "The Forest," was actually put to tape by Pearl Jam "but [singer] Ed [Vedder] never got around to recording vocals for it. So I just wound up using the original version with a drum machine." :D:D

that's fucked up! guess Ed wasn't feeling this one :D

"yo Ed when are you going to lay the vocals for forest man?we finished the music weeks ago." Jeff

"Um..ahhh...mmmm........ummm.....(fumbles in pocket for imaginary call on cell phone)...what Hun? pickles and ice cream? sure..I'm on my way!" Ed

Jeff: "Eddie, Whenever you're ready, I'd really like some lyrics and vocals on that Forest song".

Eddie: "Yeah...Umm...Uhh...I'm working on it Jeff...Ahh....I just got this song on the Ukelele I'm trying to finish...Then I'll do that Forest thing...Yeah"?

Jeff: "Hey Eddie...While we're still young"!!

The forthcoming one. The Billboard article calls it their 8th.

:D i really tried to defend that album for all these years. it's now very clear to me that it should have been a 5 song EP.

Personally Riot Act would have made a great 7 Song EP

    1) Can't Keep
    2) LBC
    3) Thumbing My Way
    4) I am Mine
    5) You Are
    6) 1/2 Full
    7) All or None

    w/ Bonus 7inch Vinyl

    Side A
    Save You

    Side B
    BushLeaguer

    Save You
    Ghost
    Love Boat Captain
    I Am Mine
    Green disease
    1/2 Full
    Thumbing
    Arc

Can 9 songs still be called an EP?
    (attention know-it-alls, it's a rhetorical question).

See...we've managed to identify Riot Act as the weakest link. ;)

    Kudos!

Even though it was original "new" material...all were B-sides and not a studio album proper.

    That would be my guess.
