I figured I may as well change the title. Looks like this little rumor by Matty boy was right after all. It feels good breaking the Ed solo in the US news. I feel like Neilybabes86. hahahahahahahaha
Matt Cord, current 76ers PA announcer and radio DJ said that he heard that Eddie Vedder would be playing a solo show at Tower Theater sometime in June. He is a huge PJ Fan and has been in the business for a while and dont think he would lie about it.

Eddie has solo album coming out, I say chances are good.
Plus the Cubs are in town that weekend I believe so the planets would be aligning for EV to have himself a nice visit again to Philly....

Yeah, he has a ton of connections and is a huge PJ fan. He was on 97.5(a sports station) all afternoon on Sunday. His partner is a huge PJ fan also and all the played for their intros yesterday was PJ. So I say the odds are really good for this being true!!!

Not in '03 when he was on Y100 and his rumored Philly date was the day/week of my wedding/honeymoon and he made me drive off the side of the road. Now, every time I see him, I have to bust his chops for the heart attack he gave me that day.
By the way, not only is Matt an awesome PJ fan here in Philly, but he's also awesome to have in the community. Very quietly, he donated some very cool PJ and non PJ items for our Philly 4 Wishlist Pre Parties back when we closed the Spectrum. He didn't have to, but he stepped up and did. Mighty cool of him
my only beef with matt cord, is for changing the way he announces during sixers games. i realize the sixers don't get a lot of play from people around here. but he used to handle his p.a duties in a cool old school way. now hey kinda, i don't know, changes up how he sounds with all sorts of...special effects or something? anyone know what i'm talking about? it is extremely annoying.
