I remember hearing "Jeremy", "Once" and "Alive" a few years ago, but the song which really got me into Pearl Jam, only about 1 year ago, was "Black".

Evenflow and Jeremy were awesome when i first heard them, but I think it was really when I was finally able to understand how beautiful "Black" is.
The same happened to me! (:

I actually went to the USe Your Illusion Tour show in OKC in Jan. or Feb. of 92, just before I heard Alive. Back then it was GnR, Tesla, and Public Enemy as some of my favoites of the time. Then it all changed with PJ
WOW! So You liked Tesla??? Just like me - and no one of my friends didn't even know who they were:)
And U know what I liked the best from GnRAND Tesla? Guitar! Five man acoustical jam and G'n'R Lies .... acoustic guitar... i have to admit it - i like it still, but not listen too much it
Not 10c member? Have sth to say? write to me - I'll put it on the forum

The MSG II 1998 bootleg. I think "Wishlist" was the new song that really hit me besides all of the ones I had heard growing up.

i remember listening to pearl jam on the radio when i was a little girl because my mom refused to listen to disney soundtracks 24/7 ;) one day driving around town "black" came on and i was particularly moved. i asked my dad for a pearl jam cd (after he said i wasn't allowed to get a godsmack cd, i went for the next best thing in my young, stupid, 12 year old opinion) and the rest was history :D

    CORDUROY!!!

When Ten and Vs came out, I really wasn't into Pearl Jam, mainly because everybody else was. Once Vitalogy hit the shelves and my neighbor bought it and I heard Corduroy, I was instantly hooked. Haven't been back to the other side since!

I was 11 when Ten came out. Followed them as religiously as a pre-teen, and then through high school, could. Fell out of touch with them during the Binaural, Riot Act years...

Then I caught a show in '06 and got back into them. After I heard Marker in the Sand, I got nostalgiac for that old PJ power chorus sound. I had this song in mind that had that "it" quality I remembered of PJ and wanted to find. Then when I came back and listened to Breath, that was it. That to me is PJ's sound. I know I may get a lot of flack for that, but that was it.

The opening riffs to Brain of J.

My former barber was an old hippie, and always had music going when the place was empty. Luckily for me, that night, the place was empty. He put in "a new album" which turned out to be Yield.

IT WAS ALL OVER FROM THERE!

I was 10 when Ten came out. Fell in love with it right away. All the music from the early '90's seemed to help shape & mold the person that I am....soundtrack to my life!

I was part of the grunge thing, but I think when I heard Black, it put me over the edge. That's when I knew they were for real.

I was 18 when grunge hit so I was lucky enough to be right smack in the middle of it. I agree the moment I heard Black for the first time I got chill bumps and went numb.

I heard 'Ten' when it was realeased, but it wasn't until I heard 'Long Road' from the 'Dead Man Walking' soundtrack that I became a fan.

When I was in middle school, my family moved to Georgia. We lived about 45 minutes from the nearest mall, so most of my time was spent in the woods with friends. We had this crazy alcoholic in the neighborhood who always had his radio at a thousand decibels out his back window and it would echo through the woods. This one song that kept coming on the summer before 8th grade was something I couldn't get out of my head! I didn't know the lyrics or who it was...so one day it came on when my older brother was around (he had a car and often drove off to places with actual civilization). He told me it was Pearl Jam but didn't know the song (later found out it was Yellow Ledbetter). That night I found a copy of Vitalogy sitting on my bed :)
